Skip to comments.PBS Bill Moyers & Kevin Phillips: Bush arranged for hijackers on 9/11.
Posted on 07/24/2004 2:25:24 AM PDT by Jim_Curtis
I couldn't sleep so I flipped the TV on about an hour ago. Normally I don't watch PBS but channel 2 comes on when I turn the TV on and they were showing the newly released video of the Dulles Airport hijackers on 9/11.
I need the transcript of what came next. I just went to PBS.org and they had a transcript of Moyers interviewing this Kevin Phillips guy from a few months ago but they didn't have tonight's transcript.
They were much more than implying that President Bush arranged so that the hijackers were let through. I've heard liberals carefully state things in such a way that I suspected they were trying to plant the psychotic impression that Bush was somehow behind 9/11 but these two went well beyond that.
This must be the death of PBS. The time for debating the issue is over. Actions must be taken immediately to shut it down without delay.
The liberal media has gone bonkers. The entire media establishment is out of its frikkin mind.
I hope the liberals shout that from the housetops from now until they're crushed in November. The People will finally vomit them out.
Bill Moyers' show caters to the Liberal kook fringe element in this country at American taxpayer expense. This discussion does not surprise me one bit.
"High Tech Lynching"
I'm all for free speech. Let the Liberal dingbat's shout loudly from mountaintops, the rest of us sane individuals will just re-elect Bush based on the idiotic rantings fomenting from the Democratic party.
Bill Clinton hijacked the Democratic party, and those too stupid to realize it, are kissing the feet of the hijacker.
It ain't free speech if someone else pays for it
Someone else pays for it? You mean us, don't you? The liberal media is completely out of control.
didn't you see my tagline?? =o)
Bookmarking this thread. I -very- much want to see that transcript when it comes out. If true, I will spread it far and wide. I'm sick of lefties claiming that the more psychotic statements only come from the "fringe" and I'm using that fringe to distract from their "real" arguments. Time to prove for the ten-thousandth time that the lunatic fringe IS the mainstream of the Democrat party today, and they use the same arguments.
When will a transcript be posted? Here's a couple of guesses: Soon after they get it sanitized.... probably. Although, amerikin al quaeda and their amerikin al jeezera mouthpieces are increasingly brazen. Perhaps they will post it.

SOROS, MOYERS AND THEIR MEDIA ALLIES Accuracy in Media
Taxpayer-funded liberal media personality Bill Moyers aired a story on January 9 that purported to examine big money in politics. On the "NOW With Bill Moyers" show on public television, he interviewed Charles Lewis of the Center for Public Integrity. Moyers, a liberal partisan of the Democratic Party who used to work for LBJ, admitted that his Schumann Foundation had funded Lewis. But Moyers didn't tell the full truth about how they both have a connection to billionaire leftist George Soros, who is spending millions of dollars to defeat Bush and the Republicans this fall. Soros says that "a number" of Democratic candidates would prove acceptable to him, including Howard Dean, Wesley Clark, and Senator John Kerry. "They all are pretty close to the positions that I would take," he says.
Soros' positions are reflected in the causes embraced by the organizations he bankrolls. These include drug legalization, strengthening the United Nations, opposition to the death penalty, euthanasia, tax increases (including a global tax), immigrant rights, feminism, abortion rights, and homosexual rights.
Lewis, author of "The Buying of the President 2004," talked with Moyers about the big money supporting the presidential candidates. But little time and attention was paid to how Soros is trying to buy the White House and is pouring millions of dollars into groups such as MoveOn.org to bring this about.
In a throw-away line, Lewis mentioned that the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) had given $36 million to "mysterious" political action committees incorporated under the 527 provision of the IRS code. Moyers said they were a way to camouflage support for a candidate. Moyers asked if George Soros was doing this with the Democrats. "That's right," said Lewis. "Soros does it." But he said that Soros was disclosing these contributions and that he was really concerned about the money being spent that could not be tracked.
Moyers failed to tell his viewers that he is on the board of Soros' Open Society Institute and that it has funneled $1.7 million into Lewis and his Center for Public Integrity.
It turns out that the Moyers show aired an interview with Soros last September 12, where he declared, "The Republican Party has been captured by a bunch of extremists " Soros, who has made over a billion dollars by exploiting the capitalist system through currency manipulation, was presented as an opponent of unchecked capitalism and a supporter of democracy and nation-building abroad. Yet he was found guilty of insider trading in France and has been described as "the man who broke the Bank of England" when he used complex financial transactions to undermine the value of the British currency, the pound.
The real irony is that Soros is now spending millions of dollars to turn the White House over to the Democrats, using a loophole in the campaign-finance law that he promoted. The Soros website features an interesting press release trying to explain that the Soros money is for the purpose of "educating voters and increasing voter turnout " That's about as straightforward as claiming that Bill Moyers is an objective journalist. Victor Lasky's book, It Didn't Start With Watergate, documented that Moyers was involved in LBJ's efforts to spy on political opponents and bug Martin Luther King, Jr.

EXACTLY! They are going to spin in as much as they can to lay blame on President Bush, to try and lesson the blame on Clinton. It's what they do best.
I am impressed with the fact the President Bush's campaign has a war room here in Boston. We have to stay on top of them at all times. Seeing them counter-attack Kerry will be the only reason why I am watching the news this week.
Keep in mind that Kevin Phillips is NPR's token REPUBLICAN on their editorial staff. Every time they feel the need to balance the Democrats, they bring him in, hearalding his Republican roots. To NPR, he is balance from the right.
Are you talking about WGBH? BTW, who watches broadcast TV these days anyway?
Moyers is a deranged and deeply disturbed little clown.
Phillips has a long-standing intense dislike for the Bush family. A few months ago, his book Dynasty got some attention; he tries his best to paint the Bushes as a totally amoral family intent on using its oil industry and military-intelligence industry contacts to gain and keep power. Phillips is a bit of a crank: In part of the book, he tries to substantiate old claims of an "October Surprise" in the 1980 election (the assertion that Republicans cut some sort of deal with Iran to delay the hostage release, to defeat Carter).

There was just a caller on the C-Span Washington Journal Show this morning (last half hour) that called in to say that Bush will steal the election by arranging for a nuclear bomb to go off in a major American city and killing all the citizens.
I heard about the story in the days shortly after 9/11. I remember the talking heads talking about it. It's not a late accusation, but Michael Moore's movie makes it seem like some startling revelation. Articles debunking points made in Michael Moore's movie mention that Richard Clarke admits that flying Bin Laden's relatives out of the country right after 9/11 was his decision, and that it was made for their safety.
On Sept. 20, 2001, the Boston Globe broke the story of how the so-called Gore Commission had failed in its mission to address airline safety.
Chapter Three: Improving Security for Travelers
Referred to following potential threats:
Terrorism (general), Biological, Chemical, Surface to Air Missles, Bombs, IED's, Profiling, Baggage Clearance, Airport Personnel
No mention of Planes as Weapons/Missles or Security of Cockpit Doors
Recommendation from Initial Report dated September 9, 1996
The system will be designed and constructed in incremental stages providing varying levels of service as early as April, 1997.
3.17. Establish an interagency task force to assess the potential use of surface-to-air missiles against commercial aircraft.
Recommendation from Initial Report dated September 9, 1996
Assess the viability of anti-missile defense systems.. Whether or not the explosion of TWA 800 turns out to have been due to a surface-to-air missile attack, as some eye-witness accounts suggest, missile attacks have downed passenger planes in other countries, and it is a risk that should be evaluated. The Commission will continue to analyze this problem in cooperation with the Department of Defense and other government agencies.
DoD will convene an interagency task force to examine the threat to civil aircraft.
Damn! I walked into the room and PBS was on the TV. I saw it was Moyers and Kevin Phillips and reflexively changed the channel. I missed it.
Isn't this the same Kevin Phillips that used to be such a right wing conservative and made money out of raising funds for conservative causes? I remember thinking, Why does Moyer have him on his program.
The 9/11 attacks gave President Bush the opportunity to prove his leadership capabilities, therefore he must have orchestrated them.
What's not to understand?
