$1 Billion divided by (let's be generous) 20,000 potential terrorists is $50,000 per.

And, for $10,000, you can be brought from any place in the world and be placed in the USA, complete with identification.

It wasn't "plausible" that both World Trade towers would be obliterated. But it happened. Plausibility is not limited by YOUR limited imagination.

That happened b/c we weren't fighting and killing them. Now, we are. And we are winning, tremendously so.

My problem is with people who make up bogus stories to scare people into getting things they want and people (like you obviously) who just instinctively believe them. It's a diversion from having to learn how terrorism really works. It doesn't happen b/c a few illegal immigrants happened to sneak into the country, fwiw. The 9/11 terrorists came here perfectly legally. They were able to stay, train, plot, etc., b/c of the massive financing they were receiving. They aren't receiving that here anymore. It's virtually impossible. That's why they are in Iraq (as you pointed out).

No answers huh, only a dumba$$ question abou my going to Mexico.

Yours was a really stupid question, fwiw. (I don't blame you for wanting to actually back up this hundreds of Syrians in Mexico claim of yours with some evidence.)

Extra, Extra, READ ALL ABOUT IT !!!!!!

Terrorists are no longer receiving funding in the USA. That must mean that our war on terror is over and we've won.

Sorry dunma$$, but it's not my claim. Read the threads that are highlighted previously and you MIGHT realize that this is a perfect avenue for these folks to come in to the USA.

You still havn't answered one of my questions either. Think I know the answers anyway.

Not really. They're still trying. But we are killing and disrupting too many of them currently for them to be close to any major attacks here. That's why they're down to attacking Riyadh and Baghdad lately.

Funny that your article writer didn't make up his story about hundreds of Syrians crossing over from the Canadian border where it would not only be more plausible since some Syrians actually live there and it is much easier to cross that border. But then again, our true agenda here isn't against the Canadians and their border now is it?

Iranians speak Farsi, not Arabic as their native language. Most Iranians speak Arabic but with a distinct accent. What kind of accent? How the hell should I know? I speak English with an Alabama/Texas/Louisiana accent that gets much thicker when I'm speaking with someone from the South.

My assistant witnessed it a few months ago when I called our sister office in Birmingham while she was in my office. She commented, "Wow, cj you sound like you're speaking a foreign language."

Read them. Extremely unconvincing, fwiw.

And yes, it is your claim. You are defending it vigorously... just not very convincingly.

"this is ridiculous that we don't take this more seriously, and we're told not to say a thing to the media, but I have to," said the agent, whose name will obviously remain anonymous."

Forgive me but wouldn't an agent be protected under whistle blower status? Why would he or she remain anonymous? If the story is true, I do not appreciate the half-assed attempt at bringing the story to light. What's more important to this supposed BP Agent? His Country or his job?

On Tuesday, 20 July 2004, two members of American Border Patrol smuggled a simulated suitcase nuke across the border west of Naco, Arizona.

This was done in what is now the busiest stretch of the border for illegal alien traffic with a high concentration of Border Patrol agents. Both men were dressed in a para-military style that was very conspicuous in that area. Radio chatter indicated they had been spotted at least once, but they managed to evade all Border Patrol ground and air assets, a major achievement considering they were videotaping the entire escapade as they went. After a few miles on foot, they escaped from the primary enforcement zone through the simple expedient of lying down in the exposed bed of a pick-up truck sent to retrieve them.

The stunt was designed to demonstrate that the Border Patrol still does not have anything like adequate resources to do its job.

The video shot by Mike and Mike was immediately broadcast over the internet, local TV stations showed it as well, and it made it into the Tucson newspapers -- still no national exposure, but we can repeat similar stunts at will.

Our local Border Patrol agents work their butts off, but until they get the manpower and logistics they need, its just an exercise in frustration for them and the residents of Cochise County.

If the story is true

It's not.

Tancredo fans like to make up a lot of things and tie their little issue into terrorist scare stories. Nice little attempt to mask their true motives but a pretty weak one ultimately.

Sorry all, I said I was done, but I hadn't seen this question...

What difference does it make WHY they haven't attacked in the last 3 years? The first WTC bombing was in 1993. They waited 8 years to "finish the job" (their words).

Like I said, TIME isn't their problem - they have plenty of it, and they are very patient.

They like spectacular attacks. Bin Laden said, regarding 9-11, that was the first attack, and it was like the tip of his finger - the next attack would be like his entire finger.

They may not attack us for another 5-10 years for all I know. That isn't the point either. The point is that it is plausible that they are coming in through our southern border. Why on earth do you think it isn't plausible? You have not said anything yet that disproves this possibility.

It only took 19 guys to destroy both WTC towers, attack the Pentagon, and kill a plane-load of people in a field in Pennsylvania. Let's say "only" 100 of them are here now, preparing for the next attack. That's 5x September 11.

As for "massive financing" for Sept. 11 - just plain wrong. Far less than $1 million, total. There are 1000 millions in a billion. And while they may not be receiving billions in financing here through the same channels they were before because we have cracked down, they don't need billions, and they could be getting their money through alternate sources (drugs, diamonds, walking across the border carrying money). When was the last time our law enforcement has been 100% successful in shutting down drug traffic and money routes? Why do you think they have been 100% successful shutting down terrorist money/traffic?

I'm not "instinctively" believing anything. I have a brain and I'm not so naive as to think no middle eastern terrorist males have ever come in through our southern border.

Yes, the 9-11 group came here legally. Like you said, that was BEFORE we cracked down. Which is why some are coming in ILLEGALLY through our southern border, being smuggled in along with Mexicans, drugs, etc. Besides, maybe the next wave of attackers was already here on 9-11, so they didn't need to "get in" after the crackdown.

And if they're not close to any attacks here anytime soon, then why on earth did Tom Ridge recently remind us all to be alert, that they are hearing credible chatter, and that Al Q intends on hitting us here at home THIS YEAR, and specifically to interrupt our voting process? Was that just political, like the DemocRATS said, to deflect attention from Kerry choosing Edwards??

And you missed yet another point about the article: They are coming in the southern border because they look more like Mexicans than they do Canadians, AND because there are established human smuggling routes by the dozens (hundreds?) from Mexico, not Canada.

And with that, I'm done. Goodnight all.
