Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas September 18th , 2004

Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas September 18th , 2004

September 18 is the 9th Annual Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas. This event has taken place for the last 8 years in a row and this is the 9th year. This event is sponsored by a homosexual newspaper called The Dallas Voice and advertised as "Gay Day at Six Flags," in established homosexual publications like Texas Triangle, QTexas and many highly trafficked websites. Due directly to this form of advertising, thousands of homosexuals attend this event from all over Texas. "Gay Day at Six Flags" takes place one day prior to the Gay Pride Parade in Oak Lawn which itself brings in tens of thousands of people. Many of the people in town for the Gay Pride Parade also attend "Gay Day at Six Flags."

When families attend Six Flags Over Texas on Saturday, September 18th, they will not be informed about "Gay Day at Six Flags," nor the thousands of homosexuals in attendance. It will be a total shock when they realize they are waiting in line for one hour at a time with flamboyant homosexuals embracing one another and kissing.

If you call Six Flags Over Texas and ask them if they are having Gay Day they will tell you "No, Six Flags does not sponsor a Gay Day," knowing that they allow the homosexual community to advertise the event as "Gay Day at Six Flags." They still will not tell you. Therefore, Six Flags Over Texas is willingly allowing families and children to be exposed to homosexual activities without giving them any warning.

Families and children have the right and deserve to know about "Gay Day at Six Flags" so that they can make an informed decision as to rather they want to attend Six Flags Over Texas on that day. Six Flags Over Texas has a responsibility to inform families and children about "Gay Day at Six Flags." It is a family park and families sustain Six Flags business throughout the year.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If Six Flags puts out 'warnings' (ie. advertizing) about 'Gay Day at Six Flags'; people like you will crucify them.

If Six Flags doesn't put out 'warnings' (ie. advertizing), people like you will cricify them (as done here).

If Six Flags prevents openly gay people from entering the property; they will be sued by the ALCU for discrimination.

Just like DisneyLand and DisneyWorld; all these companies want to do is sell tickets, sell trinkets and make a profit. They can neither sponsor, nor truly prevent this behavior from happening.

Hey, Constitutionalist Conservative... Instead of shielding your child from this "deviant" behavior, why don't you point them out to your children and explain how those two people kissing each other are going to go to Hell cause "God Hates Fags?"

How long is it going to take to sanitize the entire park after the homosexuals get finished defiling every nook and cranny?

How much will it cost to clean up the stains afterwards?

How much moeny will the p.c. fools lose?

Horsecrap. If the KKK advertises "Racist Day at Six Flags", Six Flags would sue them for using their name. Wake up.

Sure and I suppose it wopuld just fine with you if they promote Man-Boy Love Fest Day next?

How about "heterosexual protitution in the raw day"? For all heterosexuals to be able to covert in the nude and join in the sexual games in fro\nt of children?

NONE of that is appropriate. It is a moral act to protest and demand they stop with their open perversions.

For you ultra-libertarians - I said nothing about the govt doing it - only individuals or groups of individual citizens - as is their RIGHT and their RESPONSIBILITY to maintain this country.

I'm sure if Six Flags wanted, they could bring an action to legally enjoin The Dallas Voice, Texas Triangle and QTexas from the unauthorized use of the Six Flags name in their "Gay Days" ads. The fact that Six Flags doesn't is tacit approval of the use of the Six Flags name in the "Gay Days" ads.

To all Texans.

Go to Six Flags on September 18th.

Take your wife, but leave your kids at home.

Wear a T-Shirt that says, "Sexual preference is for the bedroom, not for the amusement park."

Perhaps you can even get together and rent a billboard near the venue for the month of September.

The fact that they don't understand this simple truth is one more proof that homosexuality is a mental illness.

Shalom.

Sad Day at Six Flags Over
Texas September 18th , 2004

Their is nothing gay about it!

"homosexuality is a mental illness"

Kerry understands gay rights

``John Kerry really gets it -- it's in his spinal cord, his DNA,'' says lesbian Mary Breslauer, co-chair of the Kerry campaign's huge gay outreach effort and a Kerry friend of nearly two decades.

While I agree with your sentiment, it's not that easy in practice. Every group in the area uses the Six Flags name in their advertisements. If Six Flags lets other groups use their name, then the courts would toss out any attempt to prevent gays from using their name. The result would be lots of pro-gay advertisement and a wonderful opportunity for the media to portray conservative Christians as haters.

I wish that I didn't disagree with you, but Donald Widemon would do better to focus his efforts elsewhere. This one is a lose-lose situation.

Disney embraces homosexuality throughout the company, almost certainly has more homosexual employees per capita than any other major company in the world. Do a little research about what it's really like behind the masks and behind the stages of Disney World.

And BTW, God doesn't hate homosexuals, just the sin of homosexuality. It is an unusual sin in that it's set aside by being classified in the Bible as an abomination. Understandable when you think about it, since it's one thing that goes against the natural order of life itself, a segment of life that can't reproduce and thus can't even survive without recruiting others into its fold.

Yep. Remember when the Rangers sold a block of tickets to some gay group last summer, and the gay group began to advertise that they were going to the game as a group?

Well, an evangelical pastor decided he was going to protest the Rangers and blame the Rangers for sponsoring a "gay day."

The Rangers were sponsoring nothing; they just sold 50 tickets to somebody.

The pastor ranted and raved on Mark Davis' show on 820 and begged and pleaded for people to come out and protest the presence of gay people sitting together at a baseball game.

Well, when the day came, the gays went to the ballgame and six protesters showed up.

Alas, Six Flags will fix this just as soon as one of Edwards colleagues sues them on behalf of a cluster of dying tinkerbells, all claiming that they caught AIDS on fairy day at Six Flags and Six Flags did absolutely nothing to prevent them from the risk of this happening.

In fact, anyone with AIDS should be suing any owner of the place where they engaged in whaatever that resulted in AIDS for acting as "enabler" and not adequately warning/instructing them of the risks. They post notices wanring about the risks of alcohol to pregnant women, shouldn't they also have to warn about fairies cathcing the AIDS?

Edwards will argue that his client went to Fairy Day, had too much to drink and, "Wham, bam, thank you Bruce," he had AIDS. That would cost Six Flags, BIG TIME!!

The real issue is the conduct of the "Gay Days" participants at Six Flags. IMO, if there's no inappropriate public behavior in front of the kids, there's no problem. I don't have any knowledge of "Gay Days" at Six Flags these past eight years, but if it's anything like the pictures from "Gay Days" at DisneyWorld that others on this forum have directed me to, I'd be thankful for the warning if I were planning on bringing the kids.

Why not just require all groups to provide their names to a "registry"?

Thus anyone can just look and be informed.

Thus if a christian group is going to have a group attendance at six flags ALL who would be offended by the presence of christian groups. (linda ronstat) can stay home.

It is worth noting that Dollywood asked a homosexual group to NOT use her logo or in any way imply an official Dollywood homosexual event.

(seriously are homosexual that scared that people will keep their children home on those days? and why would it matter to them?)

SELL THAT LIE ELSEWHERE:

Andy Silverman, the Rangers’ vice president of ticket sales, said the “sheer earning potential” of the gay community was a factor in the team’s decision to sponsor Gay Day. The gay community has tremendous buying power, and “we can’t ignore that.”

The Ballpark in Arlington has group promotions to everyone from the Jewish Community Center to the Boy Scouts, according to Silverman.

“Everyone is welcome at the ballpark,” he said.

“We’re trying to get as many people as possible to the ballpark,” said Blake. The team isn’t worried that marketing toward gay fans will hurt attendance, he added. With ticket sales down, Silverman said, the Rangers are marketing to as many people as possible.

Mack Williamson, president of the Texas Gay Rodeo Association’s Dallas chapter, said he was “very surprised” the Rangers contacted the gay community.

Disney has AMPLE power to warn.

Homosexual days tour operators are given blocks of rooms to sell and operator discounts, special reception parties are given as part of the group package.

They also alow the use of Disney logos and images to promote the event.

It is not a question of stopping it, it is a simple question of letting the public make and INFORMED decision. If the left is so pro-choice, then let the public choose.

Disney knows these homosexual groups are an uncomfortable drag on disney. Why else would they offer normal guests a free change of shirt if they happen to be wearing a red shirt? (the marker wardrobe recorgnition advised by the homo-operators. Ironic since Ensign Expendable wears a red shirt is is the first one dead in star trek mythos)

Are homosexuals that offended by letting the public know such a recreational sex based event is at disney? Do they fear mothers and fathers keeping their families away from homosexuals?

That's not what the Rangers' representative said on Mark Davis' show. He said there was no active sponsorship of a "Gay Day."

So, the Rangers had two positions on it.

Regardless, the protest of it was a total bust.

They did not use the phrase "Gay Day" on their calendar or in advertising and did not buy advertising, so in that sense, there WAS no Gay Day.

They still solicited a homosexual group outing. The Rangers sponsored Closeted Gay Day.

Six Flags used to be a FAMILY place.

Gay Day at Six Flags Over Texas September 18th, 2004
