High-Stakes Convention The critical convention season begins with John Kerry losing momentum at just the hour he'd like to be gaining it: President Bush has clawed back on issues and attributes alike, reclaiming significant ground that Kerry had taken a month ago.

These numbers are amazing considering all of the negative press, lies etc. I predict a Bush landslide in November.
Hmmm. Why do you think ABC would print this on the eve of the 'Rat convention?
The more people see of John F'n, the less they like him. After today's "human sperm" photoshoot at Cape Canaveral, look for him to get the "dead cat bounce" from his convention...
wow
Happy dance BTTP!
MSN's headline news this morning was "What Theme Will JFK Pursue At Convention".I thought, Oh, Man...that's got to hurt. The guy is so rudderless that the big question is which way will he blow in the wind this week.
5 Legislative Days Left Until The AWB Expires
To tell you the truth, I don't want to see Bush way out in front until about the 3rd week of Oct. I like it when Bush plays the under-expectation game too.
Teresa: "This poll proves that most Americans are anti-American."
I wonder if this was actually reported on the news, or just buried on the website.
I haven't watched ABC since Sept 11, so I don't know.
"Poll Shows Support for Kerry Weakens on Issues and Attributes"
That little Clinton gal must be feeling a little relief...she CAN be a contender in 2008 after all!
"I predict a Bush landslide in November."
Nope; not a good idea. I still remember what our basketball coach used to say...play like you're 25 points BEHIND, no matter how far ahead you are and there's only 10 seconds left on the clock.
Hmmm. Why do you think ABC would print this on the eve of the 'Rat convention? It helps lower expectations so that whatever bounce the candidate receives will seem that much more significant.
All polls taken during this time by the pollsterWHORES are design to BOOST Lurch's numbers after the convention! DO NOT PUT ANY STOCK IN THEM! They are lowering LURCH'S expections until after the circus is over...than BAMMO! Watch, after the JACKASS party is over and the numbers come out, LURCH will be revered as a honorable, trusted, loving, a GENIUS(putz), blah, blah, blah....the list will be long and polls will be quoted. HAVE ANTIACIDS handy!
Apparently, it's that he's strong
on Defense & Military issues, he
bled for his Country, & he's real
intellectual; that's why he gets
the complexity of issues unlike
the simpleton George Bush.
No offense, but if you're down 25 with 10 ticks left, you stand around and let the other team run out the clock.
as much as I hate polls, these numbers are more consistant with what I see around me....Kerry and his john boy are unsuited to be leaders of the free world.
"The more people see of John F'n, the less they like him. After today's "human sperm" photoshoot at Cape Canaveral, look for him to get the "dead cat bounce" from his convention..."
That photo could be the equivalent of the Dukakis tank commando photograph. He looks ridiculous! Of course, the main stream media lefties probably realize that and it will not get any play.
I don't buy that. Iraq is stable, the good news on home sales today, and the likely job improvements will continue to drive his job approval numbers higher.
And when they're not pondering THAT one, they're sweating bullets about whether his supporting cast of crazies will blow the whole thing with their twitching and foaming over George Bush in front of the nation.
Which suspects were gloomin' and doomin'?
Im liking the idea of signs that say "Take This John and SHOVE IT!"

Kerry gains when he keeps his mouth shut.
The more Americans get to know him, the more they distrust him.
Simply amazing turnaround.
That post was so complicated that when you posted twice, I had to check all the numbers to make sure it wasn't a separate post. That's call "data". How about providing Freepers with "information".
I just found it to be an overall negative picture.
This ABC poll is outstanding in Bush's favor.
I happen to think Bush is sitting in the catbirds seat because like the last Mr Personality the lunacrats put forth, this guy couldn't charm a snake.
WOW. This is incredible. Think about it. The multi-level, organized attacks on President Bush have been relentless for months on end. The MSM has bolstered every smear and showcased every liar with a Bush bashing book to sell.. Just tonight Brit Hume pointed out that CBS did a total of 32 stories on Joe Wilson's tall tale. However, in the nearly 2 weeks since his claims were refuted CBS has not reported one word about that.
I'm siding with those that believe this poll is a set-up so they can show a huge increase in numbers for Kerry after his convention. It's all a lie, of course, but the media wants Bush out at any cost. Credibility is not an issue for our current "unbiased" media.
hmmm... I wonder what happened? Maybe since the election is getting closer people are starting to pay more attention? OR maybe a combo of the Sandy Berger, Clarke, Wilson fiascos?
Awesome news!
The steady stream of Dukakis in the tank moments doesn't help him either. And I'll bet this poll doesn't even take into account the hat trick of these moments he's gotten in the last 24 hours.
And this poll was taken before "the pitch".
I heard about this poll on ABC radio this afternoon. The announcer seemed to be in a state of shock reporting it. Very good news on the eve of the convention at the "Freak Center" in Boston.
President Bush's Approval Rating now at 50% up three points!!!
He got nothing from Edwards, and Kerry is such a bust when he speaks...like Gore, he's simply an unlikeable human being.
Very sorry! I had no idea that it posted twice, I did not have any intention or indication of a double post. These are recent poll informaton from Real Clear Politics. Mort Kondrake had just quoted them on Fox News to Brit Hume. They both felt that Bush was in serious trouble.
I just posted about the "gloom and doom" of Fox Panel members on another thread.
It was really a downer to watch, but all the while my husband was yelling at the TV, making his usual prediction:
"Ignore the polls, Bush will win by a landslide."
Just heard Peter Jennings reading a few numbers from this poll on the 4 pm (Pacific) ABC radio news network report.
What did Peter say?
Well the fox news panel all agreed that Bush can still win this.
I DON'T GET THESE TWO (ARE PEOPLE JUST STUPID?):

Don't forget the power of the media..they have managed to convince more than half the country that Bush was not truthful about Iraq - and half the country believes Bush stole the election. They have also convinced many that what Sandy Berger did was no big deal. After the convention, they will convince many that Kerry really is better than Bush and the poll numbers, whether true or not, will show a swing towards Kerry. The ABC poll is a sham.
Understands???? He understands better???
This ranks right up there with Clintoons "I feel your pain".
You see? Normally when Bush moves up in an ABC poll, ABC does not even mention their OWN poll...so, why are they doing it now on the first night of the RAT convention??? HMMMMM???
