I just heard Brian Craig (and Steve Kane) discussing the incredible humiliation of Randi Rhodes at the Democrat Convention yesterday. What happened was that some political comedian on the air invited Randi to walk among the delegates on the floor. Randi replied that she wasn't allowed on the floor and had to stay in the upper reaches of the hall. Brian and Steve were speculating as to whether Randi's floor pass was lifted by either a VERY JEALOUS Al Franken or nervous Democrats.
BTW, it was also mentioned that Randi is NOT allowed in the studio anytime Al Franken is there. Plus she is NOT allowed to talk to any of Franken's guests even off the air. Apparently Al Franken has some major JEALOUSY problems concerning Randi Rhodes. I do remember when Air America first went on the air, the reviews for Franken were horrible but they also said that Randi was INTERESTING even though she is s WHACKO.
Don't mean to sound too ignorant, but who's Randi Rhodes???

Randi is a FAR LEFT whacko who used to broadcast out of a small West Palm Beach radio station. She is now one of the talk show hosts on Air America. She is still WHACKO but she is also a lot more INTERESTING than the incredible dull Al Franken. Thus the cause of Franken's insane jealoousy of her. However, Randi's floor pass could have also been lifted by the Democrats who are pretending for now to project a normal image. I say let Randi on the Democrat Convention floor! Let the WHACKO reign!

Left Wing Whacko radio host of Air America who had her floor pass lifted at the Demo Convention by either a nervous Al Franken or nervous Democrats. Hey, Randi! How does it feel to be CENSORED by your own people?
p.s. I've had some e-mail communication in the past from Randi and I'm sure she will be reading this thread (along with a lot of other media types).
I hate it when old women take photos with that "come hither" look. It's creepy.
Just to give you a taste of how whacko Randi is, she once said on the air that her greatest fantasy in life was to perform a "Monica" on Clinton aboard Air Force One. BTW, she was disappointed when she finally did get to meet Clinton last year when he appeared here in South Florida for a speech. She was one of the stage hosts but she was disappointed when Clinton did NOT hit on her. SHEESH! How pathetic is that? Clinton goes for a hog like Monica but then rejects Randi. She was VERY disappointed.
Most likely she was thinking of Clinton (see my previous post) when that photo was taken. BTW, Randi believed from the get-go that OJ was innocent and STILL does.

She's sort of the Joe Pyne of the extreme left--a tinfoil hat type who has had a radio talk show in Florida and now does a show on Air America Radio.
That's what pops up on a google search. I ventured over to erramerica radio but the site isn't coming up. Maybe they packed up and left town.

Clinton, Lewinsky, Rhodes. They're all pigs, but at least Lewinsky had the brains to call Clinton a creep. Rhodes will just be an old disappointed Liberal dingbat in her advancing age.
It must be killing Randi to be exiled (by either Franken or nervous Democrats) to the upper bleachers of that convention. Hee! Hee!
Ann Coulter had her column spiked by USA Today and went home. Maybe she & Ms. Rhodes can get together and do some dissident reporting on the convention. Just to scare the boys, that is.
Compared to the propagandist on public radio, Randi is more on the refined BBC side of the spectreme versus Frankin who is more of an NPR amateur hour propagandist. Air America has little new material on the weekends and has reverted to replaying the "best of" Randi over and over. She's a smart woman and unlike many stupid leftists who don't know any better, I get the feeling she is well aware that her assertions are filled with half-truths and misinformation.
(Ironic that Randi is getting support to broadcast freely from a "right-wing" website).

I believe Randi used to be an interstate truck driver. BTW, she was also briefly a Freeper. She registered here as "Bikerchickee" and then posted a thread boosting her radio show (when it was in W. Palm Beach).

When Air America goes to the Republican convention, they should reverse the situation by allowing Randi to broadcast from the floor...but BANISH Al Franken to the upper bleachers. He can't complain because Randi was banished from the Demo Convention floor.
Last week, the Palm Beach Post published a very long article on Rhodes. The highlight was a story told by the wife of another Florida radio host Jack Cole (now deceased) who had a Christmas party in 1999. His wife recalls that a very drunk Rhodes urinated on their Christmas tree that night. Nice.

Randi follows Rush Limbaugh on the WJNO internet stream. I will sometimes listen for a few minutes before tuning in Medved or Hannity, just to see what the Leftist nut-case has to say about a certain topic in the news. It is hard to explain how left, vulgar, and hateful Randi is. She claims to be a military brat who grew up on military bases, but has zero respect for those in the uniform. She HATES Bush, Cheney, Christians, Reagan, and any thing good and decent in this country. She has an very very very openly gay person as a station manager or tech, that you can hear in the background making comments all the time.
I would some Randi up this way. If the most vulgar person on the Democraticunderground (DU) had 3 hours of radio time - It would be just like Randi's show.

This is interesting! I saw Randi really promoting Al Franken in the weeks leading up to his going on the air. Hmmm. So they're imploding from within? She is a far left woman, but she is articulate. I would think that she is just the type of guest Franken would want.

It won't look creepy when you're of an age that you no longer automatically call people of that age "old".
And here's a little secret -- as you "get up in years", you never really feel any older inside than about 25. It's just that you start looking in the mirror and wondering, "when did *that* happen??" And you never, ever get used to young people looking at you like a space alien, because inside you still feel barely older than they are, even if you do have more experience.

I think she probably is low-class. I was not impressed when I heard her. One of our local conservative, well moderate in my view, radio TS hosts, Michael Smerconish, had her on his show to talk about Air aermican before it came on. She was incredibly rude. But she isn't stupid. And she is one of the more articulate--if offensive--leftist speakers.

That might help explain a comment by Bill O'Reilly today... He had a poll asking people "who's worse, Michael Moore or Al Franken?" Moore won 85%/15%, but O'Reilly said something like, "I know both of them, and if you knew what I knew, the results would be the other way around".
Can you post the Palm Beach post article about her? Also when did Jack Cole die? I used to listen to WJNO when I lived in Broward Co,but have been gone for 5 years. He always seemed to be very smart,and upper crust with good breeding. He seemed a bit nutty though, but he was up on the issues.
In the recent Palm Beach article about Randi, she was complaining about how Al Franken NEVER mentions her show. Somehow I think it is Franken who got Randi's Demo Convention floor pass lifted.
