Well now there's a bonehead statement.

How dare you insult Richard Dreyfus like that! He's brilliant! He's had a long and distinguished career!

He was both a criminal attourney AND a marine biologist, as well as being an off-broadway actor, and a far right wing republican senator! OK, so he got busted for falsifing an important discovery when he was an anthropologist, but that could be overlooked.

He even represented Barbara Streisand in a sanity case, and got her judged competant to stand trial for murder! And, he was an award winning sculpter who was in an auto accident and became a paraplegic, and then against all odds, got out of bed and became an accomplished music instructor who really cared about his students!

How dare you impune this great man, one who has accomplished so much in just one lifetime.

He was also abducted by aliens.

Maybe that's the problem... The anal probe was inserted too deeply, and it gave him brain damage... Did he have fire shooting out of his a$$?

Last time I saw Richard Dreyfus, he was standing in front of a 4 foot high pile of mashed potatoes trying to channel space aliens.

Strangely enough, the last time I saw Michael Moore he was also in front of a 4 foot high pile of mashed potatoes, but for a different reason.

Dreyfuss added, ``He is the enemy of thoughtfulness.''

``I wasn't raised in George Bush's America, and I wouldn't be comfortable in it,'' Dreyfuss said. ``In this America, you point toward a sin and you are pointed at. You are the irritant not the gatekeeper. You smell funny -- sinister funny. Terrorist-friendly. You mention due process and the silence is not respectful, it is ominous.''

I guess one of the perks of being a washed-up actor is you had the foresight to invest in capitalist America in order to have enough cash to buy the finest dope available.

richard doofus is a leftist/marxist a**hole.

i have never been more angry looking at a scene in a movie than in the opening shot of "down and out in beverly hills" where doofus raises his arms in a "secret" fist in the air communist salute.

he was the second a**hole actor i vowed to never ever watch (when did "down and out in beverly hills" come out? i forget...)

the first was ed asner for his remarks/actions trying to help out the sandanistas...

Are we to believe that in Mr. Dreyfuss's world pointing out the sins of others is acceptable? That's not the impression I've been getting all these years from the rulers of L.A. and New York.

The problem is that this little 5'5", 56 year old punk is unaccustomed with those of us in the fly-over states being heard above the din from L.A. and New York. He knows what is best and we have obviously forgotten our place.

Actor Richard Dreyfus slams Bush ("He is the enemy of thoughtfulness.")

Here we have the actor who willingly starred in Mr. Holland's Opus calling Bush the enemy of thoughtfulness!

Richard Dreyfus was on John McEnroe's MSNBC Show tonight (8/9) with New York Mets' pitcher Al Leiter. Leiter countered Dreyfus' anti-Iraq war sentiments but prior to the commercial break Dreyfus, with some amazing eye candy draped all over him, then equated this war with the lynchings of blacks in this country.
