Actually, I agree. I was a 52 Druid when I finally Nerfed myself from EQ. I started about a month after release and remember getting run over by druids killing HGs in NK. It was annoying. It was also a good thing when the anti-kiting code went in. You could still do it, but dots weren't as effective. Shrug.

The only reason I ever kited HGs was when our group was dying. I'd toss a snare, blast hard, get aggro and run him around while everyone else was healing.
I only played EQ from 99 to 00 and that first year involved a significant amount of Nerfing. I quit in disgust with Verant and in particular Brad. I won't EVER play a game associated with his name.

EQ2 stands to be different since Brad is gone and they have a different attitude. One whiff of nerfing(anything significant, any class) and they're gonna see me and my clan's vapor trail as well as our approximate $1000/month in subscriptions evaporate.

While I'm not obnoxious when I do play my druid, I do occasionally dot kite out in NK...more often root rotting in Rathe tho. Machine's a little laggy to kite well so even where I can I still mostly stick to the habits I acquired on her. She's only 50 and not too serious...I keep her mostly as a courtesy char for my guild...tracker, PLer, and port wh...mule.
