It is inconceivable to most Americans to use a child's death in this way. And, to use a couple of little kids on a campaign trail. It reminds me of Hillary--in Arkansas--when folks started wondering why they didn't have children. Next thing you know Hillary is pregnant. It was beneficial to her politically to have a child. It's so pathetic.
Ouch!.........(I agree though). What kind of tightwad is Edwards to take his wife to Wendy's for their anniversary anyhoo? Am I missin' something here?
Sorry............but I can tell his wife must eat there MORE than once a year!
I know, I know...........I said I was sorry. &;-)
Kiss my shiney metal ass!
Shoes?
I agree. This is despicable. I gained weight after child bearing too. I don't want her in the VP house, but she's likeable and seems to have her priorities straight--for a dem. She made a commendable decision to have children at a later age and stay home with them. Maybe they ate at Wendy's when they were younger with less resources than they do now and celebrate that as a tradition. Some people actually do things like that!
Anyone know what happened to their son? It seems to be a well-kept secret.
I don't think Mrs. E admitted much as she must've put away all her size 18's too. No way that gal's even close to a size ten.
Nearby motorists helped the passenger out of the Jeep and extinguished a small engine fire. But Wade Edwards' lifeless body was pinned in the vehicle.
Afterward, the Highway Patrol said Wade was traveling about 70 mph in a 65-mph zone. There was no indication of alcohol. He was wearing a seat belt.
"A thousand things could have caused it -- talking to friends, adjusting the radio," said Trooper T.A. Sinclair, who investigated the accident.
I believe he was killed in an auto accident in 1996. I've heard about it, but not that much from the Edwards. I'm not willing at this point to say that they are using his death. If I was in a situation where I was mentioning my children, I would mention one I had lost too as a sign that that child is not forgotten. It also seems to me that if Wade died in 1996 and Edwards ran for public office the first time in 1998, his son's death may have made him reconsider his life and do something different. Of course, I don't know. I also don't think it such a strange thing at all that they would visit his grave. I'm not sure that I would let the press know about it however. I'm not sure how the press got that info. It could have been campaign staffers and not Edwards at all. I just don't know.
Don't know about you, but I'll take a small chili with cheese and a Caesar side salad. Mmmmm!
Very off thread, but has anybody ever heard the urban myth that their chili is made with the day's leftover burgers?
At least I hope it's a myth.
but if laura and george did the same thing, everyone here would be "oh, aint that sweet, they are so genuine, thats so neat, blah blah blah". its like turning a light switch on and off around here.
Died in a car accident
Reported that Kertry called to say he'd be late -- but not how late, nor any reason why. Nice!
Looks like he might be planning a lawsuit, with her as the plaintiff.
Obesity resulting from regular visits to fast food restaurant, trial lawyer husband. Sounds like its right up his alley.
I'm with you....Quit taking potshots at people's weight. It could be their metabolism, like me. And it cheapens any other statement that may be made.
I'm fat. I'm also pretty (or so I'm told), loving, well armed -- both 2nd Amendment-Wise and Intellectually and CONSERVATIVE.
