Maybe, if were lucky the Saudi's will issue a fatwa for Moore like they did for Rushdie.
I'd give a nut to have a fatwa out on me,
I should have one since I desecrate islam daily.

Prince Turki said these claims have now been completely refuted in the report compiled by the US commission of inquiry into the 9/11 attacks, which was published at the end of last month.Yeh, but in order to get through to a liberal, you have to speak in gibberish, not American. Silly man.

Both are harmful to my country. The ruling royals helped us in the war with Iraq;
AP:" Gen. T. Michael Moseley, a top Air Force general who was a key architect of the air campaign in Iraq, called the Saudis "wonderful partners" although he agreed to discuss their help only in general terms. "We operated the command center at Saudi Arabia. We operated airplanes out of Saudi Arabia, as well as sensors, and tankers," said Moseley in an interview with the AP. He said he treasured "their counsel, their mentoring, their leadership and their support." Link
The ruling royals are helping us in the war against Al Qaeda;
Yahoo!News: U.S. Ambassador James C. Oberwetter said the situation in the kingdom remained dangerous for Westerners. "It will be some time before we achieve a comfort level that the situation returns to normal," Oberwetter said in Riyadh. "The Saudis are doing an excellent job working on their most-wanted list and taking people off that list. But not everyone has been removed from the list." Link
Michael Moore has not.

Thanks for posting this. I remember these stories also.

'Michael Moore made a request to visit Saudi Arabia and we granted him a visa, but he never came,' said Prince Turki He never expected to be granted a visa, he had no intention of ever going. He wanted to use the denial of visa a "proof".
I think the Iraqis are going to allow the Saudis to come in and clean up their mess in Fallujah. Get the popcorn folks, this is going to be very, very interesting.

I know that there is a split within the family. There seems to be a power struggle between the modernist and those who have been financing the terrorists (possibly even a third faction who is just fanatically Wahhabist) The problem I have is figuring out which is which. Just when I think I've got it figured out, the one I thought was the bad guy turns out to do something "good". This is all just giving me a headache.

Good. Let the Saudis express their displeasure by floating a few million bucks the way of the BC'04 Campaign.

Methinks the Saudis doth protest too much.
Methinks they've been doing it for ages, too. I lived in the US during 2002-2003, and early on in that timespan, I was watching TV when an advertisement (basically crying "We weren't responsible for September 11th! It wasn't us! We Love the USA!") sponsored by the Saudi Government (or was it their embassy, I forget, and anyway, who cares) came on.
I was so annoyed I started throwing cushions at the screen, screaming, "Aw, come ON... if you didn't have anything to do with it, why the advertisement, for cryin' out loud?"

Great post but it will fall on deaf ears. The Saudis could bring this country to its knees in a week and they don't have to do it with Bin Ladin. We had best remember that fact.

A big part of the premise of Lumpy's latest is the idea that the Saudis and the US government are in cahoots, and that this is a bad thing. He seeks to drive a wedge between the two. Which of course is also part of Al Qaeda's agenda.

If the democrats don't steal the election this year, Moore will eventually become the filmmaker equivalent of Ed Wood. Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 is as stupid as Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space except that Plan 9 is infinitely more credible.

Fastidious people never hunt for rotting meat. A more efficient way to deal with Moore would to show him a bar of soap and scare him to death. Has the EPA been notified of this toxic waste dump?

Psssst Michael! Now YOU'VE pi$$ed off the Arabs. I'm pretty sure that the Saudi royals have a couple of car bombers on retainer. How much C4 does it take to blow away 280 pounds of shi+ eatin hairball? They wouldn't **gasp** behead him would they?
Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.
