Hey Eeek and COB, I'm sorry to report that I will not be able to make it down for the shoot out & BBQ. My dog Chance has now pulled / torn his left knee ACL. He had surgery on the right knee this spring and was doing great, but the Vet told me the other side knee joint was a little loose and could go without notice. Well it has and he is holding up his left leg now. So another procedure and some $1500 later I'm sure he will be good to go in a few months.
Anyway, I thank yall for the cordial hospitality and hope we can try to do this again in the spring! Sorry If I disappointed anybody (I sure am!!!), but God sure does work in strange ways.
I have not had a real vacation in many years, but I sure as heck hope my next one is in Texas!!!

I sure hate to hear you can't come down.
We took up a collection and leased a range with thousand yard targets and some sweet young things to change targets for us.
We had a catering service lined up to fly in some Maine lobster, and Saltgrass Steakhouse was going to provide aged Angus steaks with all the beer we can drink after the shoot.
We bought an M1 Abrams tank and a couple of old 105mm artillery pieces, some flamethrowers and a few RPGs to play with.
Ahhh, well. Maybe next spring......

But think of all the crimes commited in the last several decades with a 50 caliber weapon. Both of them are quite disturbing. I think a person was shot in the first one.
