WHAT KERRY DID [KJL]
Listen, he wasn't president on Sept. 11, and I am not questioning his reflexes or reactions, but it is worth noting what Kerry did do on Sept. 11, 2001. Here's what he told Larry King: "...And as I came in [to a meeting in Sen. Daschle's office], Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon..."
Kudos to Red State for finding that. And for noting: "It should be noted that the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"
`Everytime I hear critics and John Kerry say the president sat there and read for 7 minutes, I want to scream!!!
And great heaping kudos for finding out how John Kerry, in his own words, reacted to 9-ll.
Kerry on Sept. 12, 2001 by CNN:
And Sen. John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, called the attacks "a declaration of war" that "demands a forceful response."
Added Kerry, "I have no doubt in my mind it's Osama Bin Laden."
"It's very much in keeping with the threats he has made," Kerry said. "The intelligence community has known all summer they have building up for some kind of attack."
Kerry said a number of attempted attacks, or plans for attacks, have been "thwarted" this summer. He said he was briefed by CIA Director George Tenet on this a few weeks ago.

Shiite, he's French...he was under the table long before the Pentagon got hit.
Come to think of it, he may have popped his head out for a couple of seconds to cheer when he heard the Pentagon took a hit.
What did Kerry the brave warrior do 'after sitting in shock for 40 min'? I'll bet he got on his cell phone called his limo driver & headed to the country place in Pennsylvania.
Nobody should expect the liberal media to point that out.
One of his handlers has already come out and said that Kerry's remark was made "off the cuff" in answer to a question posed by someone in the audience. Believe W is speaking to this same group tomorrow?

I saw what John Kerry did on 9/11. Did any of you see 60 Minutes II on the first anniversary of 9/11 when Scott Pelley had an exclusive interview with President Bush about 9/11? I distinctly remember seeing John Kerry Hurrying down the steps of the Capitol while looking up at the sky. I swear....I have no idea why I remember that scene, but it has stuck in my mind.
Was Kerry wounded during the attack on the Pentagon?

Wow, what were the odds? He was actually in the Senate chambers that day instead of...wherever he was 90% of the time as the Senator from Mass. Seems like he's always "at the right place" in history...
