What Kerry REALLY did on 9/11!!!!

WHAT KERRY DID [KJL]
Listen, he wasn't president on Sept. 11, and I am not questioning his reflexes or reactions, but it is worth noting what Kerry did do on Sept. 11, 2001. Here's what he told Larry King: "...And as I came in [to a meeting in Sen. Daschle's office], Barbara Boxer and Harry Reid were standing there, and we watched the second plane come in to the building. And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon..."

Kudos to Red State for finding that. And for noting: "It should be noted that the second plane hit the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m., and the plane hit the Pentagon at 9:43 a.m. By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think.'"

....and Kery had the advantage of actually watching the event live, rather than relyiing on someone's description of it.

Gee, he was working that day,,,what a strange thing. This ought to be faxed to every outlet, the RNC and Drudge. I watched the films of Bush that day,,his mind was iin overdrive, you could see the man thinking, preparing and maintaining calm. It was damn inspiring to me. The rest of us were frozen, calling people, in front of the tv in shock. GWB's life and ours changed that day forever. It deserved seven minutes of thought.

KERRY: And she was there and she called me, hysterical, from the phone booth, saying, Dad, what's happening?

I can relate to that. My son called from about 30th street on his cell phone, asking what was going on. He could see smoke and hear the fire trucks, but really didn't know what had happened. He was walking to work, which would have taken him right past the trade center.

By some wierd fluke, the answering machine recorded his call, which includes my wife turning on the news.

"First off, I'm going to go out on a limb and flag this as "breaking news"

I really think you need to reconsider. This needs to get alot of play IMO.

I wonder if Kerry ever thinks before he speaks?

I realize they were in different circumstances- so it's not an equal comparison- but stop for a minute and get the visual of this: John Kerry sitting at a table with 2-3 fellow senators unable to think. Now see Don Rumsfeld...running around the Pentagon grounds helping carry the injured...

Speaking the words "mission accomplished" into a telephone receiver, doubtless. In Arabic.

"By Kerry's own words, he and his fellow senators sat there for forty minutes, realizing 'nobody could think."
===He dares question President Bush????

I think our whole country, and the world was awestruck to something this devastating could ever happen. Who in their right mind could even imagine it????

I think President Bush showed concern in those 7 minutes. Who would want a President to jump up, flap his arms and screech?? Oh wait a minute - guess the Kerry crowd would expect that. From Kerry.

NOT Bush. He CONTEMPLATED for a few minutes.

That's how I see it. And that's how I viewed it, when it happened live.

Thanks for partial transcript. I followed the link and read the entire interview. Do you realize that just before discussing 9/11, King suggests to Kerry that he go see Fahrenheit 911? Apparently Kerry took King's advice and borrowed the cheap "seven minutes" shot from Moore, forgetting or disregarding the fact that he'd just stated on national TV that he was in shock for 40 minutes.

The DemonRat candidates have no fear that the media will even attempt to catch them in their lies and inconsistencies. They can say anything any time they wish. But God help the swiftboat vets for telling their true stories. The media is going to crucify them. The Passion of the Swiftboat Vets, on the way to a theatre near you.

Kerry says he knew "instantaneously" the first plane hit what was going on...yet he still finds time to go to his meeting in Daschles office where he watches the second plane hit and has to sit down unable to think for 40 minutes. So, he could think when he knew what was going on but couldn't when he knew what was going on. I'm confused.

Exactly "what did he know and when did he know it"?

They could have all been killed if Flight 93 hadn't gone down. Talk about being a deer in the headlights.

Yes, Kerry backing off big time. Saying he was just trying to convey that he was ready to be a leader.
