Futurama May Return! And Who would play who in live-action film?
Posted on 08/06/2004 2:57:45 PM PDT by sonofatpatcher2
Wired magazine reported recently: "[Mike] Lazzo's trademark is bringing dead toons back to life. He got his big break when he created the cult hit Space Ghost Coast to Coast in 1994 by splicing new celebrity interviews into old animated footage. Last year, Futurama and Family Guy reruns did so well that it's likely both shows (which Fox killed in prime time) will produce new episodes."

That would be great, but if they made a feature length live-action film, who would play who?
I think Katey Sagal is the only one to play Leela! She is still a major babe and I'd like to see her in character...

-------Hey!
Only Brad Pitt would be right for me!

As long as they drop Kirsten Gore from the writing staff.
Futurama got too PC at the end.

Kristen Gore, is that who ruined Futurama, was a good show when it started.
Good to hear Family Guy is on the return.

Fox really screwed up with futurama. They pre-empted it so much that it was hard to get into the habit of watching it. I never say most of it until it came on CN.

If they cast Gilbert Godfrey, we'll kill him off before the opening credits end.

They tried that with my all time favorite cartoon - The Tick - and it did not fair so well.
I would be happy just to see Futurama - the cartoon - back on the air.

He says, "You wanna be a super villain, right?"
And I go, "Yeah, baby, YEAH! YEAH! WHAT DO I GOTTA DO?"
He says, "You got bombs, blow up the Comet Club, it's packed with superheroes, you'll go down in SUPER VILLAIN HISTORY!"
And I go, "Yeah, baby, 'cause I'm the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight! Aaaaaa-hahahahaha!"

Ed O'Neill explained it in a recent interview, that his imperviousness to Peggy's charm is part of the joke. He said that the ONLY reason Al didn't find her hot is that he'd been married to her for so long.

Family Guy is hilarious.
I must say though, I never got Futurama. I borrowed a DVD set from a friend and I didn't even finish the first one. I just stopped watching it in the middle of the program.
Quite frankly, it is the most dull, boring "comedy" I have ever seen. I don't understand it...it is just snoozeville.
On the other hand, Family Guy is one of my favorite shows. It is the only program I own all the DVD sets of.
I can't wait to see that on Fox.

Great to know that "Family Guy" is going to be making a comeback. Next to "South Park" it was one of the most cutting shows on TV.
