A Usenet posting I saw with the same information as the Media Matters page identified it as having come from Daily Kos, which may or may not be accurate. Kos is the blogger who said "fuck 'em" regarding the four contractors who were killed in Iraq a couple months ago.
Regardless of who is or is not a looney, this whole issue would go away for Kerry if he would RELEASE ALL OF HIS MILITARY AND MEDICAL RECORDS.
While he's at it, Teresa's tax returns would clear up a lot of things.
I guess they want all records opened, then, so we can see who's telling the truth and who is lying, aye? Seeing that all the Vets concerned are equally qualified for the presidency, according to Kerry's rules, let us find out who's the most qualified.

Liberal Washingtom Monthly blog also has some defenders of Corsi and of SwiftVets. -- Many supporters and opponents use colorful or coarse language on blogs. All should reign in bile, and speak well as they would before their mother.
So, did anybody see anything that Corsi said that wasn't true?
This is weak stuff for consumption of lefties and talking head journalists. They are trying to dissuade talking head journalists from touching any of this stuff. It could work. However, if the vets get more of a forum for telling their story besides the sound bites in the ad then it will be powerful, powerful stuff. This attack-the-messenger stuff will not work effectively against multiple eye-witnesses if they get a chance to get their story out. The sliver doctor's story is good stuff.

I never thought someone who sided with Jane Fonda about this country would EVER be considered for President.

Anyone who's cracked a competent history of WW II knows that the process of establishing stable, democratic governments in Japan and Germany after that war took four years in each nation. At that point, major numbers of American troops could and were withdrawn.
Only a total dummy would assert that the modernization of Iraq is an easier process than the same in Japan and Germany then. So, either Kerry is a dummy (which I do not believe, based on personal experience), or he is a geopolitical moron (which seems to be the case), to make this "one-year" claim.

It is called public education. Personally living through the Clintons administration was quite instructive to the method of operation .... lies and deception followed with lying accusations.
No problem. I only found the posts on bartcop because someone earlier posted the rant about Corsi and I followed the link to mediamatters and then bartcop, and found the posts from him there. I don't really know much about the bartcop site, never really followed anything to do with it before. It seemed to lean way left.

But HE is the one making himself out to be some war hero - which he's NOT! He's just the opposite, and the biggest LIAR I think I've ever seen. I support these SwiftVets. I'm sure the DemocRATS will play this as part of the VRWC at play again. Bush is smartly staying out of it so far, not mentioning Kerry's service in his speeches (none I've heard of, anyway). Any libs reading this, such as Drum or Atrios? Well guys, your candidate is a certifiable ass clown. Would Bush have reacted this way? Nope, he would have kept his cool while it blew over. Look what he did with Moore's flick. He kept his mouth shut while others did the spadework on Moore's agitprop film (Sullivan, Hitchens, et. al., took Moore apart). That's good aikido, in my book.
Kerry doesn't know how to use his opponent's momentum against him. Bush does. Kerry lets his vanity and his ego get in the way of his good sense. Instead of letting this story die, Kerry has magnified it.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. I don't doubt that many of them received honorable medals, but there are 250 members of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. There were only 245 Medal of Honor winners in all of the Vietnam conflict (1964 - 1972) and they certainly weren't all given to Swift Boat officers who served in 1968 with John Kerry.
