I don't mean to be negative, and I'm generally not, but Clinton had a lot of detractors/scandals during his campaign as well, and he was still elected.

On the other hand, I think the Swiftvets are a lot tougher and more determined than Gennifer Flowers, et al.

Flowers et al was reprehensible because it involved mistreatment of human beings rather than just school-boy bragging about his war record. The problem for the DNC is that there were witnesses to Kerry's act - lots of them - as well as his own word. And there are millions of ex-military who can weigh the words of the swift boat veterans against those of the lying weasels at the DNC. The DNC operatives seem to have a lot of experience "nuancing" charges of rape. Understanding how to fabricate a convincing military record is beyond them. What they don't understand is that it is beyond just about anyone, and anyone who had served would have told them not to try.
