John Kerry: Hunter, Dreamer, Realist (2003 tales of CIA trips to Cambodia)
Washington Post ^ | June 1, 2003 | Laura Blumenfeld

Posted on 08/10/2004 12:08:19 AM PDT by Steven W.

And who is he, really?

A close associate hints: There's a secret compartment in Kerry's briefcase. He carries the black attaché everywhere. Asked about it on several occasions, Kerry brushed it aside. Finally, trapped in an interview, he exhaled and clicked open his case.

"Who told you?" he demanded as he reached inside. "My friends don't know about this."

The hat was a little mildewy. The green camouflage was fading, the seams fraying.

"My good luck hat," Kerry said, happy to see it. "Given to me by a CIA guy as we went in for a special mission in Cambodia."

Kerry put on the hat, pulling the brim over his forehead. His blue button-down shirt and tie clashed with the camouflage. He pointed his finger and raised his thumb, creating an imaginary gun. He looked silly, yet suddenly his campaign message was clear: Citizen-soldier. Linking patriotism to public service. It wasn't complex after all; it was Kerry.

He smiled and aimed his finger: "Pow."

Echoing Robert F. Kennedy, he often closes with the line, "I'm running for president of the United States because I really believe it is time for this country to ask again, 'Why not?' "

Mr. Kerry, you said you spent Christmas, 1968 in Cambodia, yet it now appears that you were never there. Why not?

what I like about this piece is it shows how much Kerry's essence is tied up in a complete and total fraud he's been living for 30+ years now as if it actually happened. He's a legend in his own mind and he's unable to separate fact from fiction. It's no wonder he could never distinguish somebody like Ortega from somebody like Chamorro or the Soviet Union itself.

How do you know it didn't happen?

Kerry should release his medical and military records so the truth can be known.

"Dove, quail, duck, deer. Kerry described how to hunt and gut them, talking as he sliced through a steak at midnight after campaigning all day in Iowa for the Democratic presidential nomination. Carve out the heart, he said over dinner, pull out the entrails and cut up the meat."

Does PETA know about this?

Except now it's clear why the media has been carrying his water - they've been carrying it for so long they're exposed as just as much a fraud and phony as he is! They bought his bull hook, line & sinker! This cements the fact that Kerry is even worse, though - he's psychotic and terribly unbalanced to live this imaginary life he's created for himself.

There is actually a continuum between the shallow extreme narcissism of the strange Mr. Kerry and the realm of delusional thinking. I believe Mr. Kerry is psychotic beneath his pompous facade, similar to the more obviously mentally ill Al Gore.

This brings to mind a quote from a French (coincidence?) essayist.

And the guitar lessons! Why does he have to learn guitar at this time of his life? He challenges himself."

On a recent afternoon in his Senate office, Kerry was challenging himself with a piece of Spanish classical guitar music. "It's very hard," he said, mid-strum. "I broke one of my nails." Is this article for real?! Why do these people embrace such shallow lies so?

In all fairness, classical guitarists don't use a pick to play, they use their fingers and fingernails, so they keep them longer.

Although I wouldn't be surprised when Kerry starts talking about the time he outplayed Segovia.........

Pathological Lying

What is a pathological liar?

A deliberate liar knows he is lying. A pathological liar may not.

Although there is no precise definition, certainly none defined by the holiest of holies, the DSM-IV, we can state with certainty that it is a person who tells lies incessantly. We can eliminate those who tell lies in order to avoid extreme persecution. But those who consistently tell lies, whether faced with punishment or not, may be considered pathological. We must keep in mind that "pathological" simply means abnormal, or grossly atypical...who among us has not told a lie? At what point does such behavior become "pathological"?

In addition to the difficultly of distinguishing between the liar and the pathological liar, we must also isolate this mental disturbance. Lying is a characteristic of several other disorders as well, such as conduct disorder (CD) and antisocial personality disorder (APD). CD, like many reports of pathological lying, typically has its onset during adolescence. Other behaviors may include inappropriate aggression, destruction, and serious violations of rules and laws. And, as suggested by some doctors, both pathological lying and CD may be caused by, shall we say, challenging situations in the home. Or by a lack of seratonin, in which case Prozac or Zoloft may help. Along with, of course, expensive sessions of psychotherapy.

"And the small children would gather around me, calling 'Bac si! Bac si!' " said Kerry, recalling his frequent secret trips into Hanoi in 1968 to treat Vietnamese children for ricketts and malaria.

Well, I read through that load of crap linked above, but found this nugget:

On a recent afternoon, Kerry spent more than an hour there, rummaging through old boxes, dipping into files. It was almost as though he had forgotten that someone else was in the room. "This is going back in time," he said, finding a map of the Mekong Delta. he pointed to a turn in the blue, jagged river: "This is where we got ambushed on Christmas."

I believe he was only there one Christmas, so isn't that the same Christmas he claimed to be on a secret mission to Cambodia??

"Mr. Kerry, you said you spent Christmas, 1968 in Cambodia, yet it now appears that you were never there. Why not?"

Let us take bets on which MSM person first puts this question to Kerry. I think I read that he has two versions of how he spent Christmas of 1968. One in Cambodia and one in Viet Nam. I guess this is possible because of his split personality.
