Too early to tell whether Bush-hatred trumps anger at getting suckered.

I dunno...Bush-hatred is pretty darn rabid. And where there's rabies, rational thinking goes out the window. The Kerry camp seems to believe (and doesn't mind telling people) that the media wants to see him elected.

No, I'm going to have to put my money on the Bush-hatred factor. Even being embarassed by their guy isn't going to be enough to make the liberal commie MSM turn around and start reporting fairly about Kerry's Grand Adventures in Vietnam (not to mention his pitiful record as a Senator).

I read about a woman who has a terminal illness and as her last wish she wanted Bush to lose. Then there is George Soros who SAYS he would sacrifice a good share of his fortune to defeat Bush. I have NEVER seen hatred like this in my entire life!

The only reason the Liberals care about Kerry's Vietnam experience is that they feel it gives him credibility on National Security matters, making him pretty much the only Democrat in the United States who can make that claim (besides Joe Lieberman who is disqualified, of course). Because they aren't particulary interested in his actual opinion on National Security, they don't really care about the particulars of his Vietnam experience.

The Media will be gladly rolled on this one. Kerry will issue some mealy-mouthed obvious lie about navigational error and the Fog of War, and the Medial will lick the hand that feeds them.

That's a perfect description of the zeitgeist.

I love that word, zeitgeist.

What Shezza said. The lefties will do a xlintoon if its proved that sKerry is and was lying about some (or all) of his exploits in 'Nam.

"Its just a exaggeration."
"A little white lie.
"Some lame bragadicio."

"Besides, everyone does it."

But not everyone is a United States Senator and a candidate for the presidency.

I think you're right. The left isn't interested in the truth. They aren't interested in reality. They aren't interested in morality. If they were, they would've admitted that their system of government doesn't work and abandoned their socialist tendencies a long time ago. And they would've asked Bill Clinton to resign in 1998.

Liberals are interested in one thing, and one thing only: power.

The only issue is to what extent can the rabid-dog democrats pull back from the edge. Their attornies must realize that they are running a real risk of leaping over hte edge into a mult-hundred-million dollar slander lawsuit against the DNC/Kerry campaign. 245 vets x $1 Million+ per vet is a lot of money - especially for a party that is whining about getting back $20,000 from the Louisiana Congressman who turned pubbie.
