Duke Nuke 'em Kerry (strong on defense) Duck Nuke'em. Good one.

There were quotes from the Boston Globe in 1979 where Kerry claimed Christmas 1968 and the Congressional Recored 1986 where Kerry said he was there he spent a Merry Christmas in Cambodia (I'll post lyrics next week.)
He's had 25 years to correct this mind-searing experience.

When they introduce Brinkley on TV they should list his profession as whore instead of historian. He's been #2 Democrat Revisionist Historian Whore for some time now, waiting to take over for #1, Doris Kearns Goodwin who got herself tangled recently in a little plagiarism problem. But their motto is "By Any Means Necessary." Goodwin bragged often about bedding LBJ -- almost makes me feel sorry for her.

Well, big deal. Even the current version of Kerry.com summaries waid he dropped off Seals...in the Delta though.

FRiends and Dem Lurkers: doesn't sound like insertions into Cambodia to me. Just delta operations. From Kerry's website:
12 FEB 1969
Two swiftboats inserted Navy Seals and conducted normal river patrols the night of February 12 and early morning of February 13.
13 FEB 1969
PCF 94 conducted routine Psyops mission.
14 FEB 1969
Two swiftboats inserted seal team and provided protection for mission.
18 FEB 1969 Bay Hap River
Kerrys boat and another swiftboat, PCF72, entered the Bay Hap River in the afternoon carrying Navy Seals. A mine exploded close to PCF72, and a short time later the two boats came under heavy fire. Five B-40 rounds were fired at Kerrys boat, three missed and exploded on the river bank, one passed across the bow and another passed across the boats stern. A mine exploded about 15 yards in front of Kerrys boat. It was suspected that the Viet Cong had expected the boats to come up the river and planned an ambush.

No military person ever spells SEALs the way it is spelled in these reports.
It's just not done.
Unless of course, he's talking about the barking seals. LOL

Look John, Kerry was in Cambodia and just mixed up the dates. The temperature on Christmas eve is about the same as in mid July in the delta (it is damned hot all the time, and the place is simply the wrong zip code all around), so it is easy to mix up dates. And Kerry probably was wounded in Cambodia, and all his medals were for stuff he probably did there, but since it was all so under cover, it(the Navy, you know the outfit that gave him all those medals because they were Dem symps) just moved his heroic Cambodian deep cover actions to Nam locations. I think I have finally parsed it. Kerry is a true hero who is still covering up for Nixon's "criminal" Cambodian incursions. The dots finally all connect.
And there you have it.

But Mr Brinkley rejected accusations that the senator had never been to Cambodia, insisting he was telling the truth about running undisclosed "black" missions there at the height of the war.

You know what, Kerry keeping that hat in his briefcase and sitting around watching his Vietnam videos is sick.
Taking a look at Mr. Kerrys much-promoted Vietnam service, his military record was, indeed, remarkable in many ways. Last week, the former assistant secretary of defense and Fletcher School of Diplomacy professor, W. Scott Thompson, recalled a conversation with the late Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt Jr. that clearly had a slightly different take on Mr. Kerrys recollection of their discussions:
[T]he fabled and distinguished chief of naval operations,Admiral Elmo Zumwalt, told me 30 years ago when he was still CNO that during his own command of U.S. naval forces in Vietnam, just prior to his anointment as CNO, young Kerry had created great problems for him and the other top brass,by killing so many non-combatant civilians and going after other non-military targets. We had virtually to straitjacket him to keep him under control, the admiral said. Bud Zumwalt got it right when he assessed Kerry as having large ambitions but promised that his career in Vietnam would haunt him if he were ever on the national stage. And this statement was made despite the fact Zumwalt had personally pinned a Silver Star on Mr. Kerry.

If memory serves me - it was/is only 28 miles from Saigon to the Cambodian border ah-la the "Parrots Beak" which the Mekong flows thru.
We took a taxi from Phnom Phenh to Saigon just for the hell of it "once" (xfered taxis at the border) no big deal.

I remember LBJ. He was an incompetent scumbag. But Doris Kearns Godwin! There are some things even he wouldn't do.

But Doris Kearns Godwin! There are some things even he wouldn't do. Well, we only have her word for it... and she was much younger and (presumably) more nubile in those days. Yeah, I think he'd do it. I don't think he'd have objected to having sex with a Texas diamondback.
