The UN is irrelevant.
This is utterly untrue. The power they wield is becoming greater and greater.
Do you live in a town that has a neighborhood or community plan? Do you live on acreage that you have to leave 50% or more as "wild". Do you live in a watershed area? Do you live within a "sanctuary" or near a "world heritage site"? Do you live near a river or body of water protected by the American Heritage Rivers act? Have you had a powerplant, dam, water storage project, road, oil refinery, oil transport system stopped near you because of an endangered species or environmental concern? Have you ever owned a refrigerator that ran on freon? Have you ever eaten a strawberry-- grown on soil fumigated by Methyl Bromide(the answer is yes if you don't know personally)? Have you ever purchased a product from a least developed country, or owned stock in a company that uses telecommunications, roads, water and electricty paid for by the US taxpayer, like India, China, Pakistan, and most of South America? If you have, then you and have been affected by the United Nations.
Far from ir

SHOULD be irrelevant. I agree 100% and haven't fallen into that trap!
