A U.S. law prohibits citizens from negotiating with foreign governments on matters such as peace treaties. Well, isnt that precisely what sKerry was at that point.....a CITIZEN?! He was no longer in the military, he wasn't an elected official yet either IIRC.

Matthews, as he always does when he is getting his butt kicked, would scream and shout over everything O'Grady tries to say.

said Kerry helped push North Vietnam's proposals for the United States to withdraw at a time when the two countries were still officially at war.
And it would of been better to follow the failed policies of 3+ presidents and stay in there? Or should Nixon of expanded the war past Cambodia?

The Bush-Cheney campaign does not and has not ever questioned John Kerry's patriotism," Schmitt said.
And that is why Bush the GOP and the coutry is going to lose this war on terror

I think you have it exactly right. The President can lead off by damning Kerry with faint praise, something to the effect of
"Look, there are differences of opinion on the Senator's service record. A lot of what he did in combat and his motivations are known to Senator Kerry alone, and I'm not going to venture to criticize that."
Then follow up with
"On the other hand, what he said and did after he returned from Vietnam - blackening the names of our military at every level - is incontrovertible."

Seriously, the President can only benefit by passing the trash off to the propagandists while he appears more Presidential to the undecided public. I strongly believe the President needs to appear above-the-fray and leave the dirty work to others. We are doing a hell of a job with it this season.
And right there is the problem
The dems even have you calling the truth about Kerry TRASH and DIRTY work
GOP is so media whipped they can't even bring out the truth about a traitor

IMHO, both John Kerry and Teddy Kennedy are traitors and should be treated as such!
To: veronica
O'Grady is right.
If Kerry's actions didn't constitute treason, it's only because he was so inept.

"It was treason. Precisely why I get so fed up with freepers saying 'He served honorably and he is due that' or some such garbage. Treason cancels out ALL of what came before."
Let's think about that for a minute. Benedict Arnold, by winning the Battle of Saratoga, kept us from losing the Revolutionary War, and some would say that was the action that allowed Washington to win it. Arnold was a true military hero, who merited great recognition for what he did, which was far, far more than JF Kerry ever did! And what do we remember him for? Only his treason. For Kerry, let it be likewise.

They have to be hit with a constant barage of things. The Swifties are the first, the POW/MIA need to start clamoring. Do a google search and see what I mean.

O'Grady: Kerry's actions after Vietnam constituted treason I agree. Kerry's one of the reasons Vietnam Vets were spit on when they came home. I think Kerry's actions were despicable.

President Bush does not have to question John Kerry's patriotism .. Kerry's doing a very good job all by himself.
