Why come forward now?
O'Neill -- in some instances they did....one guy went to commander Wright to complain about Kerry......later, others said to Kerry to get out of there
in 3 separate units in 4 months.....commanding officers never had time to see the reports because he was there for such a short time

He just had an hour, uninterrupted by the host except for breaks, to lay out the facts from the book "Unfit for Command": Debunking each purple heart, the bronze star, and his return the the States.
Especially interesting was the recap of the Rassman incident.
I ordered my copy of "Unfit for Command" today.

Annoying woman challenges O'Neill.
He nails her. No one in coastal division faked this stuff like Kerry. The others had honor.
No investigation process or 3 affidavits for his Silver Star.

Hey, y'all. Let us know when you are linking us to one of those nutty media outlets with the trick registration gizmos: first they get your email address, then they want you to fill in a lot of inane personal information before 'registration' is finished! O'Neill didn't do well on Hardball the other night. Matthews just shredded him. So did Carville. Man, this O'Neill guy sure can't hold up in the face of bloviating jerks, can he. I mean, Matthews did so good that O'Neill didn't even have time to answer the questions.

Please give us O'Neill's take on the Rassmann story. There are two distinctly different versions going around. I actually heard two different versions from Rassmann himself in those first days in Iowa.

O'Neill is a gentleman. He is not into shouting contests. The truth about this lying SOB is going to be revealed whether you like it or not, troll.
For all who do not know, much to the chagrin of his wife, O'Neill VOTED FOR GORE IN 2000.

NO HE DIDN'T! Chris never let John speak .. Chris did his usual interrupting. Here's the game. Ask a question, interrupt while they're answering (or attempting to answer), then yell that they haven't answered the question or call them a liar. Do not accept as truth anything that is said.
That's how Chris "shredded" O'Neill. Carville and Lanny Davis did the same thing on Crossfire. There's a transcript on Rush's website.
One thing people should understand .. everytime O'Neill opens his mouth - his story comes out the same. Everytime Kerry opens his mouth HIS STORY CHANGES. Now .. you tell me who is lying here ..??
Save yourself some aggrivation .. read the book!

I thought O'Neill did very well, considering how rude Matthews was to him. His arguements were very reasoned and fact filled, while the arguements against him consisted of simply calling him a liar.

I held for an hour to talk with O'Neil and Capless, then I realized they would take opponents first, and dropped off the line.
They just brought up my key point: O'Neil and Corsi are VERY brave, not just for [his] service in Vietnam, but the willingness to place their personal fortunes and privacy at risk by exercising their Right to Free Speech. These men are no "Sunshine Patriots". Because the left does not like the message: the left will attempt to "Shoot the Messenger". Notice how quickly lawsuits were filed against stations running the TV ads in an attempt to impose a chilling influence on the Swift Vets message.
The Courts are very clear when it comes to political speech and libel suits from public figures, there is a very high burden of proof incumbent upon the party bringing the suit.

Keep eye on ball. For Kerry's Bronze Star, the issue is whether or not Kerry's boat was under enemy fire around the time he approached Rassmann and pulled him out. THurlow received a Bronze Star as well (injury is not required for a Bronze Star), for jumping onto disabled but cruising PCF-3, from the boat he was on, and helping the injured that were on PCF-3.
Regarding the Purple Heart, the issue is whether he sustained a skin-breaking injury in the mining-event (or due to other enemy fire). Most people who were there assert that Kerry's shrapnel in the butt wound was 1) self-inflicted (accident), and 2) came eariler in the day. I think Kerry's journal admits this, as well.

L.A. Times story about Rassman -- Kerry did pull him up from the water. One arm did have a tiny bruise. That isn't the basis of a Purple Heart. Doctor said put a cold cloth on it.
Rassman was picked up but the account that everyone fled and Kerry came back under heavy fire was phony. The guys who were there are angry as hell!

Bump to that. We owe the Swiftees, big time. The levels of damage that Kerry did are numerous, and run deep. He falsely accused thousands of honorable soldiers of atrocities, and our honorable men came hoe, only to be spit on and disparaged. That is unconscionable. Sure, get the "bad apples," but don't impugn the entire management team.

My paraphrase of O'Neil's take:
A very small piece of truth, surrounded by much fabrication.
Truth: Kerry did lose Rassman; and did personally pull Rassman from the water.
The fabrications: Kerry's 3rd wound (rice grain in the buttocks) from enemy fire; Kerry as the only boat returning to the scene of engagement under heavy fire; much more.
I can't wait to get my copy of the book.

Compare the personal bravery of O'Neil and Corsi to take a stand and risk their personal lives, fortunes and privacy to the Founding Fathers, who also risked it all.
Now, compare Messrs. O'Neil and Corsi to those on the left who whither and whine in the face of condemnation (Whoopi Goldberg, Linda Rondstat, Dixie Chicks, et al) from the consuming public when they take a political stand--"Don't We Live in a Country of Free Speech"!
Our Freedoms are not Free. There is a RISK to taking a political stand, but our Rights are protected from Congress making a law prohibiting free speech.

No, Matthews yapped over O'Neill's every attempt to speak, demostrating yet again the stark terror that the leftist media establishment has of these damning, well-documented eyewitness accounts that John Kerry's "Vietnam hero" stories are a pack of lies.
And now, I spray you with "Troll Be Gone."
To: ozzie
I saw only the last part of "Hardball." I thought Chris was the one who did truly poorly. He went into a frenzy, was obviously afraid to let the guy talk. Chris was crude, rude, disgusting, and obviously afraid to let O'Neill have his say.
Even at least one Kerry supporter was embarrassed by Chris' hissy fit. I heard that the next day Imus mocked Chris for his inability to control himself.
