I lived within a few miles of this man until his death a few years ago and I never once heard of him touting his record to anyone. If a war record qualifies one for the presidency, Elliot Williams should have been the king of the entire world.

I am not doubting the fact that there are true American heroes that received 3 purple hearts, but what I am trying to find out is how many got 3 purple hearts and got their ticket out of country.
