"Unfit for Command": A Review Posted by McQ

I’ve read “Unfit for Command”. That’s the easy part. Since then I’ve been struggling to find a way to explain why this is so important to many of us out here to those who don’t find it to be important.

The B&N in my area tends to hire really weird people with nose rings and pierced tongues . . . undoubtedly the elite of the leftist literati . . . and thus, I suspect the manager who hired them is probably of the same mindlessness. Yours probably is too. Write to HIS boss! Higher B&N management probably wears Brooks Brothers suits and knows how to add and subtract as good businessmen. They are in the business of selling books. Write to THEM!

MSM will cover this story when they are sure there is a story there and not just a bunch of 'he said/she said' innuendo,

Which is why they jumped on the Cambodia story .. they could prove Kerry lied on that one

The media/press need to have Kerry release his records for a full review

BTW .. has Kerry HIMSELF responded to any of this yet???

I did 3 years and 10 months (two month "early out"). I only knew one guy I'd rate "as verminous as Kerry." Were he to run for anything significant, I'd be there...

No, and IMHO, he won't. A presidential candidate does not directly address such allogations unless he can completely refute them, in one 30 second sound bite, otherwise as soon as he does, he's toast.

When I called Barnes & Noble last week about getting this book, after I had reserved a copy, in a casual conversation with the chatty girl, after checking their web site and telling me that the problem was with their distritutor, she made the remark that there were 300 in the warehouse.

I asked her if she meant the warehouse for Raleigh and she said no; I said North Carolina and she said no. I said for what, and she said for the whole country.

The book is well written and concise. The Christmas in Cambodia, and all of John Kerry's other exaggerations and lies fill the first half of the book.

By far,, the most damning part is the part after he leaves Vietnam, and still in the military, damns and defames his fellow servicemen and gives aid and comfort to the enemy.
John Kerry meets with the Communist reps of the Viet Cong in Paris once, more likely twice.

" (p 136)John Kerry could noit have been a more perfect poster boy for the Communist Daily World (newspaper) than if he had been recruited and trained by the KGB itself "

"(p.137) Speech by JK to YMCA in Phila PA June 14,1971... HO CHI MINH IS THE GEORGE WASHINGTON OF VIETNAM"

Mine is over at B&N; I just need to go pick it up; but it's like a time bomb; I know when I go get it, I won't do anything until I'm finished reading it. Today we had a hurricane.......LOL.

We did fine; mostly rain; little breezy, but nothing more than a bad storm.

The kids freaked a little in Wilmington, which was fine by me; they only had 75 mile an hour winds and it convinced them both that they never wanted to stay in a storm.

Barnes & Noble seems to have an ideological problem with any right-leaning books.

A few years ago, I purchased David Schipper's book on the impeachment of Pres Clinton (I forget the name) and the clerk gave me a mildy dirty look when I handed it to her. I looked at her and said "What's the problem?". She said nothing and rang up my purchase without saying anything. I didn't even get a thank you.

If you can, you should go to Borders. They seem to be much better about keeping some of our preferred titles in stock. They also seem to be not as snooty as the clerks at Barnes & Noble.

If you get poor service or scowls at a store, ask to speak with the manager.
