Kerry's sensitive approach to the War on Terror has given me pause to ponder... would Kerry turn our military into a bunch of, ummmm, SAPS???

Additional Note: I live in Iowa. My hardcare, pro-Bush brother-in-law went to the Iowa State Fair today. He said, "I never thought I'd see the day that Iowa turned FOR Bush. But everywhere at the Fair today there were people walking around carrying 'Bush' yard signs!"

I pressed him further, and he said that all folks were talking about was the 'Kerry Vietnam thing' and the Cambodia story in particular and how mad they were. He was absolutely amazed.

He also said that the Democrat's booth was like a 'dead zone' and the Republican booth was swarmed to the point that he couldn't even get close to it. People milling around it, talking about the Kerry Vietnam stories and how mad they were.

He had come immediately to my house after he got back from the Iowa Fair to tell me about all of this and ask me what all the fuss was about. (His wife recently died, hence he's been way out of the news loop.)

When I filled him in on the details about Kerry, his jaw about hit the floor and he exclaimed, "No WONDER these people are so MAD!! I NEVER thought I'd see the day that Bush took Iowa, but I've gotta tell ya... he's gonna win this state BIG TIME!"

After having seen a number of your caricatures now, I have to say that you really have a special gift in rendering hair. There is a texture, at times transluscence and always a sense of realism which I don't see rendered elsewhere. Wonderful talent!

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. But it's such a big deal here in Iowa and this is one of the 'battle ground states'... Okay, I'll post it as a vanity.

From his mouth to God's ears. It's good to hear news like that in the midst of all this turmoil. Thanks for sharing this with us. Very encouraging :)

Linda: Forgot to say: Great Cartoon. Did you see your other cartoon used for a Pro-Bush sign in California? (the one with Arnold squeezing Kerry).

HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH!

(And there was much rejoicing: "Yay!")

I will jump for joy if my home state goes for Bush this year. I'll be working the Republican booth at our little county fair here in rural Minnesota next week, and I think Bush has a decent shot of even taking the PRM!

Great cartoon....as usual!

Went to Tennessee this week..When I notice two Bush/CHaney bumper stickers in a row, I started looking at them....Saw only one sKerry and dozens of Bush....Hope it's a omen.

Also the people gathered around the Bush's faith display (It contained at least two different books on our CIC faith)at a CHristian book store was so crowded I didn't attempt to push through...I saw several being purchased.

I live in central Maryland where most are Conservatives, but I own a business in the heart of the Liberal Utopia of Bethesda MD. Every single book store in the area is sold out of copies of "Unfit for Command"

Today I had to drive 40 miles to find a bookstore who had a copy. I was told there was three left and I had better put one on hold because they had sold 37 of the 40 that had just came in this morning.

I went ahead and reserved all three and when I got there to pick them up, a young woman was asking the clerk if they had "Unfit for Command" in stock, she informed the lady that I had bought the last three copies, the young lady asked me if I would consider just buying two of them :-)

I asked her if she was going to vote for Bush and she said "Of course". Since I only needed one for me and one for my brother, I told the clerk to only ring up two of them for me and to sell her the last one. Needless to say, the young lady was a happy camper :-)

Does anybody know where to get Bush/Cheney bumper stickers inexpensively? I want to buy a whole bunch and give them away. I've seen some for $5 each, but that is too much money to buy a large amount.
