KALISPELL, Mont. -- Until he was arrested this year in his underwear in a motel room with a nearly naked young woman who was behind in her payments to his finance company, no businessman in this town was more respected than Richard A. Dasen Sr.

No mongers, no whores. No whores, no mongers.
I refuse to sign up on the Post website, so I can't read this. Can you tell us what happened, in your own words of course!
That's one expensive piece of tail...
the washington post never misses an opportunity to give a christian a black eye with a sex scandal, even if they have to go all the way to a tiny town in montana to do it.
How did I guess this was gonna be the case before I read this article?
Sex will drive some men over a cliff. A powerful addiction it is.
...sorry about that. The Wash. Post got me on that one, because it works from the search engine link the first time, only. Here you are--same story.
Scandal involving sex, cash and a business leader rocks Montana town
By Blaine Harden
The Washington Post
Sex is a dangerous thing, without strong societal controls. The left are mostly rebel libertines; they scarcely comment on it negatively except to attack someone on the "right" or someone claiming to be, hypocrisy being "the tribute vice pays to virtue."
"the washington post never misses an opportunity to give a christian a black eye with a sex scandal, even if they have to go all the way to a tiny town in montana to do it."
They live to do it.
Still, this article is a little confusing, he is paying the women for sex, but some of the women owe him money and are having sex for debt? Also, at the very end it is revealed that some folks had a clue about what was going on. I thought in small towns people knew everything about everybody. If I moved to a small town they'd probably throw me out for being too boring.
See how much he spent on those women (shocker). How many women would have gotten away from their methamphetamine habits without him? How many marriages would have survived without his enticements? How many children would be waking up to see their fathers in the mornings (as most such women get custody of those children) without Dasen's influence? How many businessmen do as he did? What kind of country are we living in?
Well it is not bad that the paper mentions this fact. The problem is that never write, "Bob Jones was an Anti-God homosexual child rapist." Or if it is a Taxocrat they never mention that little.
Case in point, Shellby I think his name is in CA that was taking monies from companies doing business with the state. They do not mention his party affil.
Homeless people who commit heinous crimes are labeled as "of no fixed address", instead of homeless.
You're most welcome.
The flow of money to local methamphetamine users seems to have dried up since Dasen's arrest, Harball said, adding that there has been a "flood of petty crime from addicts seeking cash for their habit."
Women who do meth look horrible. They lose too much weight, their hair, their teeth and their complexions are ruined. Meth ages you a decade almost instantly. These are skanky women who are physically, mentally and spiritually ill and not at all attractive.
The unWashed Post is on a mission to make Guv McGreevey look like a saint compared to Republicans.
That is a question I am asking a lot lately.
Not necessarily. I've watched enough small towns "go meth" and the first indication is seeing the young girls that you would classify as very pretty isolating themselves in a group around a male source of meth. They are pretty but because of the personality changes you would not call them attractive. "Party girls" would be descriptive.
Hard core users may end up as you describe but most don't. I know of a situation right now (and I saw them all today) of three girls trading sex and delivery services for meth. One would almost be beautiful, one comely, and one butt ugly. Meth is so wide spread that you can't rely on generalizations.
As we say down here in Texas ---- Split tail
In the small town I used to live in the meth heads were not young people, but 40 somethings usually. They neglected their kids, lost work, and aged before your eyes. Most of the meth arrests there involved parents between the ages of 38 and 48, a couple of friends and then one teenager - usually the son of one of the other older suspects. It was a pattern.
Try bugmenot. Google it. It works wonders.
I remember being in a restaurant once talking to a young girl (20 or so) who I knew to be a meth user. She kept staring at a guy who was making a delivery across the street saying "I know that guy. I know that guy from somewhere but I can't place him." After about ten minutes of this, her face lit up and she said "I know. That's Bob. I used to sleep with him when I was in _____" I was floored, but that's the meth world.
If you use the Browser...Mozilla Firefox with the Bugmenot plugin, then you don't have to sign up. Bugmenot will give you an id and password to use without filling out those forms.
Too much screwin' around goin' on out thea.
but it is a lot of fun.
Wow! Marrying even a "super high maintenance" wife would have been cheaper.
Yeah, but he wouldn't have gotten laid.
Think you for this good link.
I also will not register at leftist sites and newspapers.
If it was not such a powerful addiction, there would not be nearly so many people on thi s planet.
From the excerpt, it sounds like it was HIS money. He wasn't putting them on his payroll. If he was a Dem, this would just be about sex, a private matter, move on.
Type in annoying for the sign up and annoying for the password. This will work on many sites. Freepers have set it up.
You are right about small town people knowing everything that is going on in their town. That is what they live for, that is the reason they get up in the morning. It doesn't matter if they know the person personaly or not, it doesn't even matter if it is true.
I wonder if in this case it was even sex as much as it was power -- to rule over pathetic people he could control completely. Even take their cars from them if the sex wasn't good enough?
And it sounds like he has a pathetic enabling wife who is still with him.
That can be nice too though --- in good small towns people look out for each other even while they're knowing everything.
More often it can be ugly. I lived in a small town for 16 years. I was never so ready to get back to the city.
Recently I had dinner with 3 women who live in a small town in another state. They launched into "gossip with gusto". I was sitting there having a flash-back to MY small town experience when one of the women apologized for talking about people I didn't know. As if talking viciously about people you DO know is OK. LOL
"They launched into "gossip with gusto".
LOL. I was proud of myself the other day for finding out I was not a gossip. I had heard the exact rumors about my state's now infamous Gov. McGreevy years ago, both here and from one of the attys at work. Yet hubby was stunned and amazed when McGreevy made his announcement. I guess I had never repeated to him what I had heard.
Maybe that's 'cause I'm a big city girl, in the big city nobody cares what you do, as long as you are not blocking the sidewalk. And I'd urge those lefty freaks who are planning to come to NYC for the convention to remember that.
I know a small town where the newspaper reports things like who got traffic tickets, whose going to have visitors for a week --- it's kind of funny. But the only good thing is that they'll call the sheriff if someone they don't recognize is messing around your property when you aren't home -- and of course they know if you're home or not.
Is meth horribly damaging to women's health, or is the overall lifestyle of meth addicts what harms them. I ask because millions (or hundreds of thousands) of kids take meth or something closely related to it for hyperactivity. I am not trolling for comments from people who think that ritalin is always a bad thing. I am simply hoping that someone could explain how close ritalin is to the meth that addicts use? Do hyperactive kids who use ritalin age quickly and look like hell by the time they are 21?
In the small town I lived in the bank tellers discussed your bank balance & savings account, the doctors nurse discussed your daughters out of wedlock pregancy (not my daughter she was a baby) & your ailments & don't get me started on the county courthouse, law suits, divorces etc, the teachers talked about your kids. I was raised in the city & taught that gossip was bad. This small town behavior hit me like a ton of bricks. ever again will I live in a place like that. Country living is nice as long as you do your business in the city.
My neighbors know when I am gone because I tell them.
