Martin Frost trying to shut down free discussion
of public opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens

This is a special request being sent to those of you who live in and around Dallas. You have an opportunity to help prevent Rep. Martin Frost (D-TX) from shutting down free discussion of public opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens.

We need you to call Dallas TV stations to support them in their decision thus far to run ads decrying amnesties for illegal aliens. The stations are under great pressure to silence the ads. Your phone calls can keep this free speech on the air.

Ads highlight Rep. Frost's immigration record

The Coalition for the Future American Worker (CFAW), a coalition of immigration-reduction groups of which Americans for Better Immigration is a member, has been running ads highlighting the pro-amnesty, anti-worker positions of a number of Democratic and Republican Members of Congress nationwide.

Today, CFAW began running television ads highlighting the immigration voting record of Rep. Frost, in particular his support of amnesties and other rewards for illegal immigration.

Rep. Frost attempts to block discussion of his amnesty record

Rep. Frost has asked local television stations in Dallas to pull the ads currently on the air that highlight his immigration voting record, saying that they are "inaccurate and racially inflammatory." Amazingly, he continues to tell the media that he has never supported an amnesty.

However, as the Library of Congress documents, Rep. Frost is the cosponsor of two amnesty bills in the current Congress. Thus, Rep. Frost is clearly engaged in a campaign to distort his immigration voting record and quiet public discussion of his support for amnesty and illegal immigration.

Scripts of the television ads are included below. As you will see, the ads simply discuss Rep. Frost's support for the amnesty bill H.R. 3271, and the effects it would have on American workers.

Read the newspaper article about his attempt to quiet the debate here.

NumbersUSA President Roy Beck says, "It is a sign of Rep. Frost's desperation not to be held accountable for his immigration actions that he resorts to making incendiary descriptions of the immigration-reduction coalition that have no logical basis in fact. Sadly, Rep. Frost stoops to join those who would suggest that any attempt to stop illegal immigration and to reduce legal immigration is 'racist.' As you know, NumbersUSA opposes racism in all forms. We find not the slightest hint of anything involving race in the coalition ads in Dallas and consider Rep. Frost's claims to the contrary to be a repulsive effort to misuse legitimate concerns about racism to disguise his efforts to flood the country with foreign workers for the benefit of cheap-labor industrialists and leftist special interest groups."

Call TV stations in support of the ads

Please call the following TV stations and thank them for airing the ads on this most important issue. Encourage them to resist pressure to pull the ads and tell them the public opposes amnesty for illegal aliens.

KDFW-FOX:
214-720-4444

KTVT-CBS:
214-750-1111

WFAA-ABC:
214-748-9631

Pro-active action has been successful in the past

Your phone calls to the TV stations can be very helpful in keeping the ads on air. Phone calls from your fellow faxers nationwide during past ad campaigns have had an over 90% success rate in keeping ads on the air.

Rep. Frost supporting amnesties and other rewards for illegal immigration

Rep. Martin Frost (D-TX) has publicly stated that he has never supported amnesty, yet immigration voting record tells a different story. For instance, Rep. Frost is a cosponsor of two amnesty bills, H.R. 3271, the Earned Legalization and Family Reunification Act, and H.R. 1684, the Student Adjustment Act of 2003. In addition, Rep. Frost has twice voted this year against federal law prohibiting sanctuary cities for illegal aliens and he has voted against authorizing the Secretary of Defense to use the military to assist in Border Patrol efforts. See more on Rep. Frost's immigration voting record.

Thus, one can only conclude that Rep. Frost is either being disingenuous or at least inaccurate when he says he has never supported amnesty. The only way Rep. Frost can make clear his opposition to amnesty is to withdraw his support of the two amnesty bills he is cosponsoring.

Rep. Frost faces Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) in fall election

Rep. Frost and Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX) have been thrown into a race against one another for the 32nd district as a result of a redistricting deal made last year. You can find out more about the immigration positions of Rep. Frost and Rep. Sessions online by clicking here.

Call Rep. Frost

Call Rep. Frost and ask him to withdraw his support of H.R. 3271 and H.R. 1684. Let him know that even though he says he opposes amnesty, his voting record tells a different story and that he needs to take some actions to prove his opposition to amnesty. Specifically, ask him to withdraw his support of the amnesty bills H.R. 3271 and H.R. 1684.

Television Ad Scripts

Following are the scripts of the two ads that are currently running on Dallas TV stations about Rep. Frost's immigration voting record.

Script #1
ANNCR: This is a special legislative alert for Dallas.

ANNCR: Even after all your calls, Congressman Martin Frost continues to sponsor a bill that… Gives amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, resulting in

ANNCR: More foreign workers to take Dallas jobs and drive down wages,

ANNCR: More pressure on crowded Dallas schools,

ANNCR: More taxpayer debt at Parkland Memorial for illegal aliens who don’t pay.

ANNCR: Call Congressman Frost again and tell him to drop his support of this mass amnesty bill.

ANNCR: Paid for by the Coalition For The Future American Worker.

Script #2
ANNCR: This is a special legislative alert.

ANNCR: Even after all your calls, Dallas Congressman Martin Frost is still sponsoring a bill to give amnesty to more than 6.5 million illegal aliens.

ANNCR: A bill that will mean more foreign workers to take Dallas jobs and drive down wages when tens of thousand in Dallas are already looking for work.

ANNCR: A bill encouraging more abuse of our health care system, when Dallas taxpayers are already paying millions to subsidize illegal aliens who don’t pay at Parkland Memorial.

ANNCR: A bill that will only add to the problem of high student teacher ratios in Dallas classrooms.

ANNCR: Why Martin Frost’s amnesty bill doesn’t even prevent illegal aliens from applying for our social security benefits.

ANNCR: Call Martin Frost again and ask him to listen to the people of Dallas this time. Tell him to drop his support of this mass amnesty bill.

ANNCR: It’s time to cut immigration, not encourage more.

ANNCR: Paid for by the Coalition For The Future American Worker.

Thank you!

Thank you for doing all you can to help keep these important ads on the air and to persuade Rep. Frost to withdraw his support of amnesties and other rewards for illegal immigration.

"Our signs were stolen over the weekend," Frost said. "Our people had nothing to do with this." Frost also said the signs were taken by Sessions' campaign workers and placed across the Lakewood Elementary grounds in a well-orchestrated publicity stunt.

"This is the worst kind of dirty trick being run by a campaign," Frost said. "The worst kind you can imagine."

Sessions said the accusation of his supporters posting another candidate's campaign signs is counterproductive.

Frost is a twit. He's totally lost it.

Has anyone seen any polls for this race? A kid came by my rent house in Grand prairie one day when I was there and pretended to be conducting a poll, but he was basically trolling for Frost supporters. Wrong neighborhood.

Right out of the commie playbook. Being branded "racist" is of course the worst of all sins in our self-critical groupthink society foisted upon us thanx to a marxist style educational system. Rational discourse must be squashed, the will of the citizenry bypassed, etc. etc. Who wants to be thought a racist? I heard the Governor of Iowa on the radio today - apparently anyone who is in favor of "English only" is a "hate monger". What a maroon.

Pretty sad that our leaders have no spine, if not even common everyday horse sense. Be sure to Get Smart on various techniques used to derail public forums - "consensus building" "facilitated meetings" via the Alinsky method of the Delphi Technique.

In a nutshell, these types of meetings give the illusion of public input but in reality, a pre-ordained conclusion has already been mandated. It's very well documented and researched, and is used quite extensively in politics - polling in particular, universities, and in the corporate world. A Google search on those terms will keep you busy for a day or two. Stay safe.

I haven't seen any polls yet but I'll try to find some. Pete Sessions is my representative. Lakewood is ZIP 75214 and that is where I live. I am just a little west of Lakewood proper. You know Lakewood is going to go with Sessions.
