I find it incredibly awful that a man boasts about being on the Senate Intel Committee if he's not there half the time, and if his time on that committee is the exact same time frame as the rebirth of Al Queda to the 911 plot.
Al Queda reborn in 92/93, begins bombing and grows to mega terror group by 2000.
John Kerry on Sen Intel Committee from 93-2000. When asked for more money, he tries to cut budgets, and post911/postIraq there are at least 6 reports showing that the intel community needed major oversight during the period (guess...) from 1993-2001.
Coincidence? I think not. I think his poor attendence, his poor efforts on that committee allowed the American intel community to decay to the point where 911 was unstoppable, where Iraq's WMD looked real in the perspective of groupthink, to where Bin Laden STILL can't be found, and so on. Sure, there are others to blame, but they're not BOASTING about being part of the very body responsible for preventing that decay. Instead....they tend to snivel away. Nope, not president Kerry. He stands up and spins it.
"Hey y'all, vote for me, because I've got experience dealing with Al Queda from the very start."
Like the rest of his Senate record, Sen Kerry should snivel away and hide like the rest of em instead of boast about his failures.
Is it partisan? Nah, I don't care about the rest of his platforms really; just the War on Terror/Iraq/Afghanistan/etc. On those notes, this guy's record speaks for itself.
(not that anyone will really read this....) http://www.scottmalensek.com/forums/index.php?
(personally, if I had that responsibility and saw these things on the intl news, I'd have gone to ALL of the meetings and given the IC ALL the money they wanted.)
Sorry, here's the link

Makes me wonder if maybe all his boasting about his service in Vietnam was to detract from this very issue. If so, it has backfired.
Kerry is as big a psychopath as the previous two Dem'Rat candidates. Theirs' is truly the party of the delusional and dysfunctional.
I SUCK-Here's the link (deep and sincere apologies to all)

Not there HALF the time? According to what I've read elsewhere, it was 3/4ths of the time!
Scary, isn't it?
His heroics during his VN service has come under serious doubt.
His lies continue to mount. Too many elements associated with John Kerry end up exposing a lie. Lie after lie after lie after lie.
Even the libmedia can't hide this forever.
Good post, thanks... but it gets worse. It's supposed to be the Committee's JOB to "provide informed and timely intelligence necessary for the executive and legislative branches to make sound decisions affecting the security and vital interests of the Nation." If Bush got bad data re Iraq, Kerry is one directly to blame...

Created pursuant to S.Res. 400, 94th Congress: to oversee and make continuing studies of the intelligence activities and programs of the United States Government, and to submit to the Senate appropriate proposals for legislation and report to the Senate concerning such intelligence activities and programs. In carrying out this purpose, the Select Committee on Intelligence shall make every effort to assure that the appropriate departments and agencies of the United States provide informed and timely intelligence necessary for the executive and legislative branches to make sound decisions affecting the security and vital interests of the Nation. It is further the purpose of this resolution to provide vigilant legislative oversight over the intelligence activities of the United States to assure that such activities are in conformity with the Constitution and laws of the United States.

I agree 110%. It's obvious that the dhimmis have been BEGGING to make this an election issue - witness how Kerry has always made his vietnam service the central qualification for his candidacy, and witness how when he has been criticized for his record or statements on things that had nothing to do with vietnam, his response was one of outrage at having his patriotism and war record smeared.
And why??? because while we spin our wheels on V/N, his real weakness - his record - stands unchallenged. Things like how he met with Ortega of the Sandinistas while a serving US Senator - don't recall where it is or the exact wording, but he broke the law by arbitrarily engaging in diplomacy with a foreign power. Or his black'n'white voting record against the military, against weapons systems, or his attempted emasculation of our intelligence services by voting to defund them.
This is a bait'n'switch similar to when BJ-meister ran back in '92 - Dick Morris back then told The Fellated One that he could survive charges of infidelity, but would lose the election if his anti-Americanism came to fore as a campaign issue. We all know what happened there.
The tragedy is, much as I detest admitting it, despite my wishing the American public could see through these smokescreens, we still fall for it. And I have to lay the responsibility for this on the roughly 30% of undecided voters. They are called "independents" but they might as well be called "know-nothings" because they don't pay attention to what's happening until 5 minutes before they vote. It's why the barrage of negative media coverage these past 6 months can and has eroded support for the President. It's why the dhimms can "play nice" in their convention and not be tarred'n'feathered for the sheer hypocrisy of their so called nobleness of the moment when compared to their lies and screaming the year previous. It's why Michael Moore can continue with that disgusting puerile smile on his face and count on the sheeple to lap up his propaganda like Pavlov's dog hearing the bell ring.
I'll tell ya, brother, days like this make me thank God for the 2nd Amendment.
