KERRY-TALE: No. 1 - John O'Neill is a Republican operative

===========================================

The Kerry camp is very, very afraid of UNFIT FOR COMMAND. They are trying to paint co-author John O'Neill as a Republican or Bush operative. Here are a few of the facts:

-- O'Neill gave $7,000 to republicans, and $25,000 to Democrats in the last 15 years.

-- O'Neill has not voted for the GOP presidential candidate since 1988 and voted for Al Gore in 2000.

caller to Rush today brought up a good point - so what if he or the donors or anybody are Republicans or Texans? After all, they're AMERICANS - in distinct contrast to the head of Red Chinese Military Intelligence who funnelled campaign $$$ to Clinton / Gore or George Soros who is supporting Hanoi John French Kerry.

Great points. I just saw O'Neil on Foxnews with Tony Snow. This guy is much more credible than I orginally gave him credit for. I personally thought he was just some pawn dug up somewhere for the campaign's purposes. He still might be, but after watching him on TV and learning that he has given MORE money to Dems than to Republicans, I'm very convinced with this guy.

he is not - he's was fighting Kerry 30 years ago and put everything away when the war was over. With Kerry trying to become POTUS he and the other honorable swiftvets stepped forward.

O'Neill voted for Perot twice and for Gore, some Republican operative. He votes for indiviuals over party. He is very opposed that Kerry as an individual.

Yeah yeah, everybody that isn't madly in love with Kerry is a 'Republican operative'. How many times have I heard them trot that one out?

I'd love to see the libs make up a GOP org chart- with THOUSANDS of secret paid 'operatives', and all sorts of weird, convoluted relationships and ties. It'd be hysterically funny.

he was just some pawn dug up somewhere for the campaign's purposes. He still might be,

O'Neill is not connected with the campaign in any way. He debated Kerry in 1971 on the Dick Cavett show over Kerry's "war crime accusations".

I suggest you go to C-Span and stream the video. You might want to also watch Kerry's testimony to Congress in 1971.

One other thing, O'Neill voted for Perot twice. He is an independent.

John O'Neill was on Brit Humes show tonight and Brit asked him about the $14,000 he donated

John said he only gave $7,000 and also pointed out there is another John E. O'Neill that works in his law firm and it could be him that gave the money

I personally thought he was just some pawn dug up somewhere for the campaign's purposes. He still might be, but after watching him on TV and learning that he has given MORE money to Dems than to Republicans, I'm very convinced with this guy.

O'Neill is from Houston. An attorney I know is friends with him. O'Neill has kept out of politics for decades. In the past various groups have asked him to get involved against Kerry in Kerry's other political campaigns. O'Neill refused. The only time O'Neill has been real political was when he debated Kerry on Dick Cavett decades ago. Where he cleaned Kerry's clock in my opinion.

Some months ago O'Neill was in the hospital donating a kidney to his wife. As he was recovering in the hospital O'Neill looked up at the TV and discovered how close Kerry was to the presidency. O'Neill, a man who doesn't have to get involved in all of this decided to because he was appalled that Kerry could be elected CIC. O'Neill knew Kerry and others would come down on him like a ton of bricks. But O'Neill bravely stepped forward like a lot of other Vietnam Vets did.

O'Neill's book is supposedly written as one with O'Neill's talents as a lawyer would write something for litigation. Facts facts facts. And O'Neill is not taking any money from the book sales.

John O'Neill was the real deal decades ago and he is the real deal today. John Kerry was a liar and did a great deal of damage to the people that served in Vietnam. He is still a liar and also a fool for picking open the scab that's on the wound of Vietnam. A wound John Kerry basically created all by himself when he lied to the to Congress. And called good men baby killers and such garbage.

But you know what? John Kerry has done one good thing recently. He has given men like John O'Neill the opportunity to clear their names of the scarlet letter John Kerry branded them with 30 years ago. And by G-d I hope the Vietnam Vets in this county who Kerry trashed get their sweet revenge for what Kerry did.

John F. Kerry for president? What a sick joke!

Read my post again - I was praising the guy, admitting he is much more credible than I thought he'd be. I was cynical about him to be begin with but now find him credible. He did a great job with Tony Snow.

Mr. O'Neill was just interviewed by Brit Hume on Fox News, and he asked him that same question. He is NOT republican, but rather a 'independant'. He has voted mostly for Democrats, and has donated funds to both parties.

There is another John O'Neill who is an attorney in Houston. He does not work for Kerry's law firm. I know him and I doubt he'd ever give a penny to a Democrat. He likes his guns too much.

I understood that. I just thought maybe you'd like more background info. I also posted O'Neill's interview/debate with Hurley from Scarborough.
