Interesting...
I'll bet we never hear the outcome of what that powder was.
The airport worker was not opening the luggage it was leaking!
Report I heard was that he opened a package in the luggage and powder spilled out.
ping
I can't help but smirk.
But of course, am also praying that this is harmless.
So have they said what flight this guy came in on????
I hadn't heard that yet only that it was leaking. cubicle bound here FR only source.
AE is a commuter plane. Hey, I thought 'no unaccompanied bags' was the LAW.??
I am still shocked that this bag didn't have a passanger.
This AP reports adds a little info:
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- A white powder spilled from a bag being unloaded at the Fort Wayne Airport this morning, making at least one airport worker ill and forcing the closure of the airport.
Six people were undergoing decontamination at the airport, Fort Waynes WPTA TV reported.
The bag was being unloaded from an American Eagle flight from Chicago, airport spokeswoman Sandra Lux said. She said the bag belongs to a doctor from Beirut, Lebanon, who was not on the flight.
One worker became ill after coming in contact with the powder and two others complained of severe itching.
The airport terminal was shut down and all fights were delayed after the 2 a.m. incident.
Lux said that officials were attempting to contact the doctor and determine what the white powder is.
Jeeze, my apologies! I see you beat me to it and my post is a duplicate. Sorry.
There is nothing that can help Kerry now. He's burned toast.
Another "test run"?
lol!...
Oh, don't worry..........I replied to a post once and made the same point that was the title of the thread..
That's what I get for not reading the title of the thread.....
The 'story' is ever changing, but I do know that it is not unusual for luggage to be separted from the passenger after the initial boarding.
In case your wondering why Ft Wayne might be a target we have a couple of defence contractors here that make several items used daily in the military. (SINCGAR radio's and Sonobouys)
Not if he's switching planes for a connecting flight..
