I was thinking about .50 cal shells also. Probably sees things hitting the water and just wanted to keep his head down.
Today on Boston radio, a Boston Phoenix writer said that John Kerry was on 4 secret missions into Cambodia and that puts that whole discussion to rest.
I almost soiled myself!
I hate to question him, but has anyone done a bio on Rassman's post Vietnam history? Specifically, Net worth during 70's, 80's, 90's, vs. Now
All very good questions. Here's another one. Why would the enemy be shooting from "both sides of the river"? Wouldn't they be shooting at each other?
Bump!

It is. Here is the link to Thurlow's Bronze Star. He was knocked into the water. It doesn't say how. It also does not mention the second explosion near Kerry's boat. Now we are to believe that a detonation under PCF-3 which lifted it out of the water and made it unserviceable did not eject any crewmembers, but one imaginary explosion near Kerry's boat knocked Rassman off of the boat. It also did not damage the craft. Thurlow Citation
