Unfrickinbelieveable. With all the arrows thrown at President Bush during the last year with book after book after book - all prominently displayed at every single frickin' bookstore - not once did he suggest they shouldn't be sold. Same goes for all the vitriolic ads out by MoveOn.org, ACT, etc.
Kerry is pure scum!

Is he going to both the elections commission and the FCC? I could see a scenario of where they try to make Michael Powell out to be a bad guy if the FCC were to not take action on this matter.

The DNC is opposed to free speech now?
Last I heard, the National Review found 57 glaring errors in Moore's movie. Did the GOP ask that the ads for that movie be pulled? Absolutely not.
And yet we get tarred as being a party that doesn't believe in free speech.

ABC's lead story this hour, full of puff and venom, is that the Kerry campaign is DEMANDING that the Swift Boat ads be pulled and fines imposed. The lapdog communists at the press know no shame or hypocrisy too large.

I feel slightly nauseous at this. They really WILL stop at nothing to get into power. How high will they take the fight, and what will it cost us if they get what they want?
I am truly hoping that this is just their political tin ears driving this foolishness, but they lust too hard for the payoff. The future looks dangerous to my mind's eye.

THIS IS GREAT!!!
Obviously the Kerry Camp has numbers showing that they are getting hammered. Wait until they see the new ad.
The FEC will never pull these ads. It would take months just to investigate it, and no court is going to issue a prior restraint order.
Finally, all Kerry is doing is drawing more press and attention to the issue. Great -- three words Senator -- BRING IT ON!!

Doesn't Kerry believe that truth always triumphs? If the Swift Boat Ads are false, he shouldn't worry and just prove them wrong. On the other hand, if they are truthful, he cannot prove them wrong and needs to have them pulled. Oops, his slip is showing.

ABC News top story.Just now.
Big FEC lawsuit by Kerry, to a) demand the ads be pulled; b) SwiftBoatees have to return all of their "ILLEGAL" contributions; c) request maximum FEC fine against the Veterans.
Hardball.
Here that, Freepers? All of you who sent money to the SwiftBoaters are engaged in activities Kerry considers "illegal". When does he send out some brownshirts to spraypaint some offices and break some window glass?? Like, "Seig Heil, man". Sheesh.
Not a word in the claim by Kerry about them being valid charges, just an effort to SILENCE.
Also, the media has been silent on the Swift Boat book, then they break the story as if everyone in America already knows what they are talking about, and make it look like the Swiftee's are the ones in trouble. This means real war, I'll tell you.

Now we'll find out if there are any Clinton holdovers in the FCC.
Seriously, the fact that Kerry is even trying to censor political speech is a major red flag. To even suggest that the government should regulate the content of political speech is unheard of. This is a major story in and of itself (which will continue to be ignored by the media).
