"Yes...I did sit in that chair. Yes... I did open my mouth and talk.""But let's make one thing clear -- Adam Walinsky is responsible for those very questionable words."
"I lied, exaggerated, misled and deceived in the manner of Charlie McCarthy"
They're trying to deflect attention away from Kerry and the accusations against him by the veterans.
He doesn't want to (can't) answer the veterans' charges.
Yeah, uh-huh! I'll bet kerry was 12 years old before his maid could stop wiping his azz for him!
Key sentence. Kerry is a fraud, coward, liar and traitor. Remainder of piece describes how he wishes he were Joe Stalin.
God Bless America
If he released all of his non-rewritten by Lehman records and his journal. It would answer all of these questions.
Because they can't answer the charges... So they paint the charges as partisan GOP attacks for political sympathy.
Once Kerry learned that he would have the chance to give testimony before the committee, he recruited the assistance of Adam Walinsky, a speechwriter noted for his work with Robert Kennedy. Walinsky drafted the speech and coached Kerry on its delivery. The only image Kerry wanted us to see was a myth: a young man with a burning passion for the truth, the leader forced to sleep on the ground, the man answering his country's call to be where he was urgently needed, before a committee of the United States Senate whre the senators and America were urgently waiting for his firsthand criticism of the war. He porceeded to level his charges: [End Excerpt]

I'm beginning to wonder how long this political theater was in the making.

Kerry's World: Father Knows Best**** .As early as prep school, John Kerry showed signs that he shared his father's suspicions about America's cold war foreign policy. In a debate at St. Paul's in the late '50s, he argued that the United States should establish relations with Red China. During his junior year at Yale, he won a speech prize for an oration warning, "It is the specter of Western Imperialism that causes more fear among Africans and Asians than communism, and thus it is self-defeating." And, when he was tapped to deliver a graduation speech in 1966, he used the occasion to condemn U.S. involvement in Vietnam, intoning, "What was an excess of isolationism has become an excess of interventionism." .***

Kerry asked the Federal Election Commission August 20, 2004 to force Republican critics to withdraw the ads challenging his military service, and accused the Bush campaign of illegally helping coordinate the attacks. So true!
"John Kerry gave the enemy for free what I, and many of my comrades in North Vietnam, in the prison camps, took torture to avoid saying. It demoralized us," says former Vietnam POW Paul Galanti, a highly decorated Navy combat pilot.
Has Kerry ever apologized to those POWs?
Has Kerry ever aplologized go the people left behind to face the Viet Cong?
No.
I'll just bet he apologized to the VC, though, right along with Barbarella.
Traitors.
I begged the Vietnamese to set my broken arm and relocate my dislocated shoulder. My requests were ignored. I then begged them to let another American come into my room to help me relocate my shoulder. I received answers such as "You have bad attitude. You are black criminal and you deserve to suffer." I thought the pain would drive me insane. I made a desperate attempt to relocate my shoulder myself by placing my cup under my armpit, and then throwing myself against the wall. I failed. And we're supposed to listen to John Kerry's whine.
Does it really matter whether Kerry came under fire in Vietnam or not? His flip-flopping should show that he does not have the capability to be an effective C-in-C.
"Mr. McClellan needs to understand that John Kerry is not the type of leader who will sit and read 'My Pet Goat' to a group of second-graders while America is under attack."
Our name is thomas, St. Johh.
Show us the shrapnel kerry.
help thou our unbelief!!!
Well the report, which I'm sure he wrote or dictated, ..."Kerry felt a piece of hot shrapnel bore into his left leg. With blood running down the deck....."
i am totally amazed that Kerry has even got this far, too think that a person with his background and socialist beliefs could even be nominated to be a contender for the position of President of the United States is astounding. I believe in politics you get the politician you deserve and the fact that approx 50% of the United States voting public choose not to participate in their democratic rights, says much about why this man is even a candidate. Most Americans care little or not enough to actually have a say in their future.
He could have done it himself by accident with a craftsman drill and a .06 drill bit... after drinking one too many beers while on duty.
Is the guy a liar?
Is that a trick question?
