NBC Nightly News didn't lead with Kerry's Thursday blast, but their story did include the show's first playing of any audio from the ad by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.
In the program's only previous story, back on August 6, NBC was far more concerned with suppressing the out of control free speech than in exploring the specifics of the charges. Anchor Tom Brokaw rued then that "a harsh political ad attacking Senator John Kerry's Vietnam war record is putting the spotlight back on the independent organizations which are called 527's. They're raising money and running ads separate from the campaigns and the parties themselves. And as NBC's Andrea Mitchell tells us tonight, the campaign finance law supposed to fix the system left this very big loophole."
Mitchell's story failed to air any of the audio from the ad, but she ominously reminded viewers that "some of the same players organized anonymous attack ads against John McCain four years ago, when he was running against George Bush." Mitchell lamented how "at a campaign picnic today, the President refused to disavow it" and she fretted that the anti-Kerry vets "may get away with" running their ad.
This did happen two weeks ago, but I didn't see any threads taking note of this, so I posted it. I think it is a pertinent reminder of the kind of bias standing in the Swift Vets' way.
The MRC report doesn't make note of it, but I was struck by it: In this story about the 527 groups Swift Boat Veterans For Truth are referred to as "SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR BUSH." 'The graphic stays on the screen for 12 seconds, as propagandist "reporter" Andrea Mitchell talks over the audio portion of the ad, so you cannot hear the vets make their statements.
If someone at the SBVT is reading this, you need to issue a press release demanding an apology!
Figures. Nevermind a whole summer of F/9-11, Michael Moore's lies.
Either that or they should ask for an address for Swift Boat Veterans For Bush so they can contact that new group about trademark infringement.
The Swift Boat Vets haven't done a bad job for amateurs in exposing massive media bias. People don't believe the mainstream media since they don't even bother to report both sides of the story. In a way, the media's condescension has made the Swifties' job a lot easier. And even now Kerry has to take them seriously. When they came out in the spring, a lot of people scratched their heads in puzzlement, and said, "who are these guys?" and dismissed them as lightweights. What a difference a couple of months makes. No one's laughing any more and the Kerry Campaign's running scared.

It would be interesting to see what kind of reporting Mitchell did on Michael Moore. She is a watchdog for liberal propaganda and she works for NBC. All these people are the ultra-rich who feel entitled to bash conservatives at every turn. They have lived protected and sheltered lives and they know nothing about common sense, traditional morality, basit tenets of freedom or the common principles which guide human behavior. They evidently think that a double-standard is the way to go to achieve power for themselves so they can enslave the rest of us. Real Americans will see to it that the Swift Boat Vets will not be persecuted by these people. We need to immediately respond and confront anything we think is a distortion of the truth coming from the major media. How I wish all of us could pull together to save our nation, facing the truth about our adversaries..Bullies in the world are not a lot different from bullies our children face in the schoolyard. They must be confronted or they will back you into a corner and beat you to a pulp. Also, after they attack you unmercifully (Sept. 11), they and their allies will say you started it..every time!

It's no lie that Kerry stabbed his fellow troops in the back when he came back to the US and accused them of unsubstantiated war crimes.
Go ahead you guys keep the focus on Kerry's VN record see where it leads, you're not gonna be very happy as the MSM keeps refusing to report the truth.
I say SETUP/COLOSSAL mistake to keep the focus on this stuff!
