Kerry document that Chris Wallace has

Posted on 08/23/2004 5:53:23 PM PDT by Logical me

Criss Wallace seems to rely very heavy on a document he has concerning Kerry's metals. He is quoting that they are the action reports. Does anyone know what this document is?

Also is this document derived from the reports Kerry's filed. If so, would this explain why this document Wallace has is in conflict with 254 SwiftVets?

The papers are the fictious accounts the fraud wrote about himself to provide "cover his ass paperwork" to justify his medals.. And these bozos are claiming its "official US Navy documents so it must be gods honest truth. What fools and todies exist in our press today??? There is a tradition of cover your ass paperwork in the military, but his deceptions rise to new hieghts!

On johnkerry.com, you can look at his copies of all of his awards and dd-214. The Bronze Star and Silver Star which were awarded in 1969-70 were signed by SECNAV John Lehman. The only problem with that is that Lehman was SECNAV for RR in 1981. Any possibility that the awards needed to be cleaned up for a sitting Senator?

I wonder why Kerry didn't report he was aware of a possible conspiracy to KILL a number of U.S. Senators????

The little bastard was pretty quick to level charges of War Crimes against honest warriors -- but wouldn't turn in some wannabe clymers plotting to murder Senators!!!!!!

Kerry is a criminal, in more ways that we can imagine..
The bastard really needs to be pulled up short..

what troubles me is that Kerry is the Democrat's choice for president. what the hell is wrong with that party? Have they descended into self-parody? Are they for real? They would have has a better chance with Lieberman or Edwards. What a sad state of affairs.

They are pages available from Kerry's website. The citation letters and some SITREPS are available there.

Leaders of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War, including John Kerry, debated a plot to assassinate congressmen in November 1971, according to a report in the New York Sun.

If nothing else was ever found about John Kerry's life experiences, this one phase of his life should not only make him 'unfit to command' but should also have caused him to serve time in a prison. How the media and the legal authorities can take this so nonchalantly is beyond me........

Chris, with his jowls aquiver, keeps insisting that long after the fact hearsay documents are "proof" and eyewitness testimony is not. He is not only incredibly biased, just like his old man, but astonishingly ignorant in his arrogance. I am amazed that Fox allows this moronic presentation to go forward with its pretense of "investigating" and "getting at the facts." More worship of government documents as part of the Allmighty Leviathan State. Only one utterly ignorant of the military can have such faith in "documents" as to believe that they should cut off inquiry into the truth of how they came into being.

Chris Wallace (FoxNews) does seem to be a couple of days behind the news curve.

I saw the exchange with O'Reilly. I also saw Fox News Sunday. My perception is that Chris Wallace desperately wants to help cover for Kerry, but is smart enough to know he can't get away with it on his Sunday program, especially with Brit Hume present.

Teaming with O'Reilly gives him cover without having to worry about being called on his bias. What he and O'Reilly perpetrated tonight was a very smooth, very slick exercise in journalistic deception by omission. Here's how the scam played out:

First, both Wallace and O'Reilly opine about how troubling these contradictory accounts are, especially since both sides seem so sincere and believable. Then O'Reilly sets up Wallace by asking, in effect, "isn't there any way, any way at all we can determine who's lying?" Wallace, of course, obliges and brings up the documents, those magic "official documents", and sadly, plaintively declares that while he respects the Swiftvets and their right to be heard, the "official Navy documents" tend to support Kerry. (Except about Christmas in Cambodia, but that's not really important.)

Wallace then states he has the after-action report for the Bronze Star/river mine incident, and gee golly, that report is signed by Commander Elliott only 9 days (or thereabout) after the incident, and that the report clearly states they were receiving heavy fire. Therefore, Kerry's account is the true one. QED. O'Reilly agrees, that settles the matter.

Realising their work was done, Matthews and O'Reilly exchange subtle but meaningful glances, and Matthews leaves so O'Reilly can finish his show. He knows it won't be long, however, till he and O'Reilly can meet after the show to share a cigarette and ask "Was it as good for you as it was for me?"

As I said, very slick, very smooth, and very deliberately dishonest. What was screamingly absent, however, the missing key which would complete the logic of Wallace's argument, was the unasked question:

Who wrote the after-action report?

Silver and bronze are, indeed, metals. But the stars that Kerry received were medals.

What I want to know is how would all those boats not have bullet holes if they were under heavy enemy fire? And we're supposed to believe Rassmusen who was in the water and not the guys on boats who had a better view?

Another question to ask is: Where did the enemy go? There was a disabled boat and men in the water. Why would they just open fire and then run away allowing the other boats to rescue the disabled boat and crew?

Oh wait, they saw Kerry coming back after high tailing it out of there and they decided they didn't stand a chance against the rice bomber.

Good catch - thanks for alerting me. That's what I get for trying to do several things simultaneously. Please accept my apology. The paragraph should read:

Realising their work was done, Wallace and O'Reilly exchange subtle but meaningful glances, and Wallace leaves so O'Reilly can finish his show. He knows it won't be long, however, till he and O'Reilly can meet after the show to share a cigarette and ask "Was it as good for you as it was for me?"

I've always had my doubts about O'Reilly... :-)

Best Frank Sinatra voice...
Strangers in the night...

Strangers in the night exchanging glances
Wond'ring in the night
What were the chances we'd be sharing love
Before the night was through.

do-be-do-be-do...
