Not really. I had an MRI on my shoulder and only my upper torso was in the MI machine. I had my belly button piercing in while the procedure was going on.

If it's lead, they would have taken it out long ago because it would leach into the blood and cause lead poisoning. Generally it's my understanding that they only leave stuff in if removing it would damage a vital organ. Can't think of any vital organs in the butt.

All of those stories are from this year when he had his shoulder surgery. It only mentions the '92 accident in passing. I'm looking for actual articles from '92 to see if it mentions what treatment he might have undergone.

Amalgam = mercury and lead combo -- both are lethal by themseves, but dentists use them together. There are dental "experts" that say if you have amalgam fillings, they are slowly killing you with internal, full body toxic pollution. My cousin had to have all of her amalgam fillings replaced with porcelain and she feels a great deal better now. I have amalgam fillings and three MRIs and the fillings did not leap out of my mouth, but I did have to remove all other metal jewelry and they did ask if I had any internal metal.

All I can say is if you are having pens rip out of you pocket and they are flying into the magnet at 60mph I wouldnt want to be your patient in the magnet when it flys in.

Your right, of course. I wouldn't want to be the patient either. I'm not an MRI tech, but work closely with them. Happened to me years back under the older models. Now, I just like to stay out of the room as much as possible.

About 10 years ago, talking with a nurse. She said she always got a strange sensation whenever she brought a patient down. She was well endowed. I had to ask. Yep, she wore an underwire bra.

I always thought there whould be a study... you know, a control group and everything...
