I would think that the news media could spend a couple of minutes investigating whether or not they even had a dog, much less a dog named "VC" and much less a dog that is capable of being catapulted from one boat to another after Kerry's boat supposedly hit a mine.

The big story here is not the dog, but the fact that Kerry stated that his boat hit a mine. If Kerry's boat hit a mine, then some of his fellow swifties would have reported it and there would be a damage report on his boat somewhere in the naval records.

I don't think this can be corroborated. Hence Kerry is a liar.

The only report of a mine detonating "near" Mr. Kerry's PCF 94 was March 13, 1969, when Mr. Kerry says he was injured and a man knocked overboard.

If this is when VC "left the boat" he would have had to fly about a half mile since all of the other boats were back at PCF-3, saving lives while Kerry took off.

Here is an Irish-American man who risks his life running guns and CIA agents into Cambodia, taking hostile fire from the Royal Cambodian Boy Scouts, the Khmer Rouge, The VietCong, The NVA,the NAZIs, The CHICOM, the KluKluxKlan, and now the Swifties ... and you right wing bastards don't have the heart to see that he is also kind to animals.

What is with you people? Didn't you ever have an imaginary friend ... or pet ... when you were younger? Kerry may well have also been understandably delirious from his many Christ-like wounds. Laugh away, heartless Republicans, but during my VietNam service I was viciously wounded by flying rice at the wedding of a Brother-in-Arms,(OK It wasn't in Cambodia, it was in North Carolina) but let me tell you, it stung like crazy. That experience is seared into my soul.

I cannot wait for my hero, JFK2, to take this vicious slander about his beloved and heroic (even if apocryphal) pet, VC the Dog, and turn it into his version of the "Checkers" dog speech, which catapulted Richard M. Nixon to fame. I hope that VC turns into Fala, FDR's famous pooch. That would serve you members of the VRWC right!

I am afraid this also exposes the scientific weakness of the Republican Party. If one were to use logic, one can easily deduce that, judging from the piles of dogspit Kerry is leaving around, there has got to be a dog somewhere.

I think this gets into the essential difference between Kerry and clinton. clinton, a sociopathic liar, took the art to new heights. Kerry, on the other hand, is not good at lying, he looks uncomfortable (that "subtle remoteness"), I think it gnaws at him. Even in the Dick Cavett debate you can see that he's terrible at it. Young Kerry did whatever he had to in order to get elected. As Senator-for-life from Massachusetts, he could pretty much say anything and go unchallenged, flying dogs and Christmas in Cambodia. But now John Kerry is on the national stage, and to his horror, he isn't getting the pass that he would have back home.

Well, whether Kerry is a 'good' sociopathic liar or a less talented one; I don't know; but even if he struggles with his imagination; it is a serious psychological compensatory art form that he engages in.
