Add to the mix Teresa Kerry Heinz and the parachuting cats
and all is made clear.
In her speech at the Heinz foundation 6/1/1994 she stated:-
"I am honored by this award. But, as the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. Ours is a time that cries out for heroes and for leaders. And like any such time in human history, the void we sense sets the stage for deeds both scurrilous and great. It is a time in which all people who care about the well-being and the rights of others must redouble their vigilance and their leadership. And that is what I will ask of you tonight.
Before I get to that, though, I want to tell you a story about cats. A few decades ago, the World Health Organization wanted to end a malaria epidemic in Borneo, so it sprayed DDT from planes to wipe out the indigenous population of mosquitoes. Unfortunately, the DDT also wiped out the wasps that controlled the local thatch-eating insects, with the result that everyone's roof caved in.
Meanwhile, the DDT accumulated in the local lizard population, and wiped out the cats that ate the lizards, thereby unleashing a ferocious infestation of rats. Ultimately, the World Health Organization was forced to parachute in 14,000 new cats, to control the rats. This came to be known as Operation Cat Drop.
This story is popular with environmentalists, but I share it now to make a point about unintended consequences. Much of what we do in life is not intended to come out the way it does. The actress Mae West probably put it best when she said of herself, "I started out as Snow White, but then I drifted."

Only in Kerry's dream. . .
Want this story exposed for what it is!!!
Kerry cannot resist the 'hero within'. . .skerry, for sure.
Kerry's told so many lies, I'm reserving judgement until I hear the dog's side of this story. Oh, VC--here boy...
I don't know either what is behind Kerry's compulsion to lie. But I am in the middle of reading "Unfit for Command," and it is obvious that a very sick and troubled young man created a Vietnam of the mind about which he would lie for the next 35 years. It's his quagmire; let him wallow in it. Not even the New York Times can save him now.
Sure makes you want to read his Nam reports in a new light, huh.
I wonder if he gave the dog CPR like he did the hamster. I guess he likes giving mouth to mouth to animals.
I hope you are right!
. . .
LOL - Good rant, Kenny! By the way, I too, still suffer from rice wounds I received at a wedding.
All of a sudden, now that the SWVT are out there, the media wants to stop talking about Vietnam. Never mind that Kerry injected Vietnam into his answering every single fluff question out there -- from owning a dog, to why he likes peanut butter sandwiches (he enjoyed them in 'Nam, don't ya know?)
BWHAHAHHAHA!!!
The accompanying Swift was close enough for the dog to launch unhurt from one boat to the other, yet it wasn't close enough to be able to tell where the dog had come from.
They had to call on the radio several minutes (or longer) later?
Sorry, that story stinks.
Thanks for the afternoon laugh.
Kerry is making Forrest Gump look presidential.
Exactly. I believe they desperately wanted to put the Droz boat behind Kerry to catch the dog but just as they were in the middle of fabricating that lie ( you can see the wheels turning in the sunday WaPo ) some guy who was in the Droz boat goes public with his story and puts the Droz boat right behind the mined 3 boat.
It's as if the new guy was trying to create an alibi for the catapulted dog because he seems to put Kerry's boat behind the Droz boat and says that another almost simultaneous explosion occurs somewhere behind the Droz boat. He didn't realize that Kerry and the WaPo were at the same time fabricating a story that was totally different but for the same purpose, a freelancer.
Nobody's really trying to connect the dog story with the Rassman rescue incident.
I think the amazing flying dog story is, in all likelihood, entirely fabricated. The Rassman rescue story had at least some elements of truth to it.
They are trying to invent a mining incident under Kerry's boat for the bronze star incident and it's tricky enough for them to do this once without having to invent a second undocumented mining incident for the catapulted dog.
They don't like this story, as small as it may seem, their usual defense of whining at Bush doesn't work for this one. It is a lie that makes everyone, even Democrats, point their finger at the liar and laugh hysterically, it can't be defended with sophistry.
