Employees at DHL were surprised when the young woman emerged from the box, sent from Cuba via Nassau in the Bahamas. She's got a career lined up in the US jumping out of cakes.

"Cuba has free healthcare"
That's nothing Cubans smuggled here get $8,000 when they arrive and most have 6 or 8 SS cards and live real well here in the good old third world capital called Miami.

She could also have been sent by Castro.

Not being racist, but why would she be a keeper as opposed to the hundreds of thousands that come across the border from Mexico?
If you come into this country illegally and are captured, you should be sent back to where you came from. I know Cuba has a really pitiful existence for the general populace, but so does much of Mexico. Otherwise, why are all these people trying to leave it?

They're fleeing Cuba because its a Communist slave prison and there's no freedom. I have a high regard for people who seek to be free as opposed to those who come here for the money.

Obviously, there are no principled distinctions to be made between the various purported political refugees you cite, but there most certainly are politically expedient legal distinctions to be made, else what's the point of power?
