Moveon.org has yet again made a new attempt to bring down Bush, a commercial talking about Bush losing 1.8 million jobs and it's voiced by Matt Damon, the commercial doesn't talk about 9-11 being involved or the clinton administration. Another attempt is a concert against bush with the following artists, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., the Dixie Chicks, John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Babyface, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Harper, Jurassic 5, My Morning Jacket, Keb' Mo' and Bright Eyes. I hope everyone will boycott those artists, and actors such as Whoopi Goldberg, Matt Damon, Kevin Bacon, Moby, Ben Affleck, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Tim Robbins, Alec Baldwin.

Is Matt Damon blaming Bush for his inability to get a job making movies?
hmm I wonder If Bush will sue moveon.org?? or maybe he will get Bob Dole to give kerry a letter telling him to stop the commerical???
hmm for some reason I doubt it
What a bunch of ignorant morons.
Chicago is charging the band after investigating. I guess the busdriver didnt know they have cameras all over these days
You forgot that he is going to sue the radio and tv stations that play the ads.
Then he'll sue the publishers of any anti-Bush book.
Matt Damon has nobody to blame but himself. How many American jobs have been lost because Eurotrip and Stuck On You were too lame to produce a sequel?
Oh, and unemployment is lower now than when Clinton ran in 1996.
Gee, where's John McCain and his principles now?
Maybe, he's waiting for Feingold to scold them.
Was the boat full of Republicans? I don't get it. Someone enlighten me.
Please disregard my post and question.
HORRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! This is great news! I think it's awesome that these artists are supporting John Kerry. I hope more like them join the cause and get widespread publicity for their candidate.
If any Freepers don't agree with me, they should ask themselves a question: If you were running for President, would you want these air-heads supporting you?
Matt Damons been making movies, he just did the Bourne Supremacy, hes a good actor, I am a little dissapointed in him but I wont boycott his work because he believes opposite of me.
Besides, if I boycotted everyone who believed differently than do I, the only movies I'd get to watch would be me and my hand puppets in the mirror, and the only music I'd have would be me singing in the shower. And trust me, on some issues, I'd not even be able to listen to myself.
> I am a little dissapointed in him but I wont boycott

Here's a point of view.
Before we partake of any commercial entertainment, we
guess at what percent of each ticket/rental dollar is
going to end up at the DNC. End up seeing about one
movie a year in a theatre, and renting very little.
There's a continuum running from Michael Moore down
to flicks where the only lib is the script girl.
And the greater the lib participation, the greater the
odds that you'll be paying to be propagandized. And
the more skillful the artist, the more subtle the
messaging.
Working in Dem ads puts Damon pretty close to the
Moore end of the scale. I'll have none of him.
I agree, people are free to have their views and I wouldn't boycott them for that, but when they make vicious remarks and tell propaganda. Also denounce swift boat ads, but then do their own commercial that's wrong.
Man this(and they)really sucks....too bad, cause I always liked Ben Harper's music;thew rest of 'em just plain annoy with their pompous ignorance.
