Is Matt Damon blaming Bush for his inability to get a job making movies?

Over the weekend, a boat giving a sightseeing cruise along the Chicago River received a nasty surprise: while motoring under a bridge, a long, black
tour bus dumped its waste tanks into the river and onto the boat, to the tremendous disgust of the thoroughly-coated boat passengers. Jerry Fitzpatrick, the driver of
Dave Matthews' tour bus, has been accused of being the dumper, but an unpleasant inspection of the bus' tank by Sgt. Paul Gardner of the Effingham Police Department revealed that it was nearly full, and so couldn't have been emptied the previous day. In addition, DMB has asserted that their buses were parked at the Peninsula Hotel at the time, and so it couldn't have been their bus. Of course, one should never let the facts get in the way of a good story, and so the national media has started to pick up on the incident. The Chicago Tribune has the full story.

You forgot that he is going to sue the radio and tv stations that play the ads.
Then he'll sue the publishers of any anti-Bush book.

Matt Damon has nobody to blame but himself. How many American jobs have been lost because Eurotrip and Stuck On You were too lame to produce a sequel?
Oh, and unemployment is lower now than when Clinton ran in 1996.

Gee, where's John McCain and his principles now?
Maybe, he's waiting for Feingold to scold them.

I hope everyone will boycott those artists, and actors such as Whoopi Goldberg, Matt Damon, Kevin Bacon,
LOL. I don't think Kevin Bacon can possibly lose support anymore. :)

HORRAY FOR HOLLYWOOD! This is great news! I think it's awesome that these artists are supporting John Kerry. I hope more like them join the cause and get widespread publicity for their candidate.
If any Freepers don't agree with me, they should ask themselves a question: If you were running for President, would you want these air-heads supporting you?
To: mabelkitty
Matt Damons been making movies, he just did the Bourne Supremacy, hes a good actor, I am a little dissapointed in him but I wont boycott his work because he believes opposite of me.

I agree. I can't bring myself to boycott someone's work simply due to their beliefs. If they go and do something illegal or terribly unwise or unjust, perhaps I'll boycott then. Jane Fonda comes to mind. But just for believing differently than do I? Nah.
Besides, if I boycotted everyone who believed differently than do I, the only movies I'd get to watch would be me and my hand puppets in the mirror, and the only music I'd have would be me singing in the shower. And trust me, on some issues, I'd not even be able to listen to myself.

Here's a point of view.
Before we partake of any commercial entertainment, we
guess at what percent of each ticket/rental dollar is
going to end up at the DNC. End up seeing about one
movie a year in a theatre, and renting very little.
There's a continuum running from Michael Moore down
to flicks where the only lib is the script girl.
And the greater the lib participation, the greater the
odds that you'll be paying to be propagandized. And
the more skillful the artist, the more subtle the
messaging.
Working in Dem ads puts Damon pretty close to the
Moore end of the scale. I'll have none of him.
To: Boundless
I agree, people are free to have their views and I wouldn't boycott them for that, but when they make vicious remarks and tell propaganda. Also denounce swift boat ads, but then do their own commercial that's wrong.
To: Patriot814
Man this(and they)really sucks....too bad, cause I always liked Ben Harper's music;thew rest of 'em just plain annoy with their pompous ignorance.
