I wonder how those over there in the Religion forum feel about him.

There was a thread not too long ago about Alice turning his life around - going to church etc. He doesn't do all of his old songs anymore on tour due to the lyrics. He has a radio show at night from 7-12. I get a kick out of listening to him and wish him well.

Talk about wanting to have your cake and eat it too.

He still dresses the way he used to, making money off of the old stuff, the old look, while exclaiming that he's a new man.

Take off the makeup, write some new songs, get out there and play 'em. Then I might buy his "conversion".

I grew up in his original era. I thought he was an idiot then, and I have yet to be convinced otherwise, and this latest diatribe is not helping him, IMHO.

I like it best when musicians ply the trade of music.

Gotta remember, ole Alice is the son of a preacher so Christian beliefs are not unfamiliar. I see his music, etc. as his onstage persona. Though I'm a Christian and enjoy his music also, my parents (very devout) think he's demonic.
To me music doesn't necessarily represent life's views. BTW, I listen to The Carpenters, Tommy Dorsey, Charlie Daniels (there's a heck of a guy!)etc. too.

Alice had his sensitive side. He wrote Only Women Bleed.
