PURPLE HEARTS,KERRY'S EXIT STRATEGY

Purple Hearts, Kerry’s Exit Strategy by Col. Bob Pappas, USMC, Ret.

Official Navy records establish that Kerry served well in Vietnam, albeit a host of witnesses have come forward to challenge the legitimacy of both the record and Kerry’s self-exalted hero status. The fact remains that he has awards, except now there is an admission by Kerry’s campaign (not Kerry), that his first purple heart may have been due to an unintentional self-inflicted wound.

In copyright article by Art Moore dated August 17th, 2004, Kerry's war journal contradicts medal claim? The author states, “A previously unnoticed passage in John Kerry's approved war biography, citing his own journals, appears to contradict the senator's claim he won his first Purple Heart as a result of an injury sustained under enemy fire.” No, it doesn’t “appear to contradict the claim,” it unequivocally contradicts the claim. The reason is that Kerry’s first Purple Heart is dated for a minor injury from his own grenade launcher on December 2nd, 1968, while his personal diary states that, as of December 9th, he and his crew had not taken any enemy fire.

This writer has read the Kerry military record that is posted by his campaign, it varies from impressive to lackluster. http://www.johnkerry.com/about/john_kerry/military_records.html The record shows that Kerry evidently performed honorable Vietnam service (assuming he didn’t lie, which 200 or so “Swifties” claim he did/does), and he has official papers in hand to support his claims. (lefties, don’t get excited yet.)

One piece of Kerry’s record is glaring by its absence, his military medical record. Why isn’t that posted, why won’t he release it? Of course it’s personal, but Kerry is guarding it with extraordinary and unusual tenacity. If there is nothing to hide, why not let the voters see it? We think we know.

There is probably damaging information that Kerry is hiding and he is fearful that it would increase the speed of his already unraveling campaign. Could the record show a case(s) of Venereal Disease? Goodness, in today’s “liberal” world, Venereal Disease is a “right of passage” and a “badge of ‘honor’.” Or, could it be that there are no treatment records to support his Purple Hearts? Or, suppose the record states, “Treated scratch on right (or left) arm, applied bacitracin, covered with Band-Aid;” and, suppose that is the wound for which Kerry claimed a Purple Heart. Whereas even if such a wound would qualify one for a Purple Heart, technically, would it be honorable for anyone to use that for a quick exit from combat? Hardly. The fact is, we don’t know because Kerry is keeping the record under “lock and key.” If there is nothing to hide, Kerry has an ethical obligation to let the public see it. Otherwise, the public must assume there is dishonorable information that Kerry is hiding.

Kerry called the “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth,” “liars.” Oh? Some 200 Swift Boat Vets against and ten or so for Kerry suggests that it is far more likely that “Kerry and Company” are the ones doing the lying. Especially, now that Kerry’s campaign (not Kerry) has been forced to admit that his first Purple Heart was caused by an “unintentional self inflicted wound.”

But it is not Kerry’s possibly fraudulent awards that trouble this writer, it is the fact that he certifiably lied about at least one of them making it increasingly clear that he game planned his “Tour of Duty” for this very moment in time, his long held desire to be the second “JFK.”

It is well known by anyone who has “been there and done that” that four months do not a tour make, (a visit, perhaps, but not a tour) unless of course one is killed, or wounded and had to be medically evacuated. Given that Mr. Kerry exited after only two valid, (if even those are indeed valid, and the public won’t know until he is forced to open his medical records) Purple Hearts suggests that he overplayed his game planned “exit strategy” from combat and it is at long last coming home to “roost,” and should.

My money is that Kerry had a nervous breakdown - it's mentioned that he had to be put back in bed after bouts of sleepwalking. His grandfather committed suicide.

"Unfit for Command' is, in fact, a DOCUMENTARY - eh? Didn't Effin' Moore called his a work of art? I just got my copy of the book. Paid full price and loved every minute of it. Plan to pass it around - plenty...

I disagree.....

"Unfit For Command" is an indictment of John Kerry. The book exposes the political ambitions of a young man who put his future aspirations above those he served with and the country he took an oath to defend. John O'Neil also exposed a man that lacks the aspect of what it takes to be a leader of men, and the title of the book could not be more fitting for John Kerry.

No truer words could describe John Kerry than "Unfit For Command"

If he hasn't had one in the past, I think he is probably getting close to one now.

It's falling apart. He knows it is. There is not much he can do to stop it, either.

It's pretty much certain, in my opinion, that the Democrats are looking for a way to do a Torricelli here. If Lying-John goes off the deep end in public and has to be checked into a hospital, it will give them a perfect opportunity.

Can you say "Hello Hillary"?

I knew you could.

I disagree. "Unfit For Command" is an indictment of John Kerry.

I'll go with that. But after a few beers and a few more minutes looking things up alphabetically (twice), I found - documentary - 1: being or consisting of documents: contained or certified in writing <-evidence> 2: of, relating to, or employing documentation in literature or art; broadly; factual, objective.

I don't think even Effin' Moore's film fits that description. I believe the swift boat vets' book will provide much more, shall we say, evidence...

Either way, it's a win win situation for us. John Kerry is finally being exposed for the fraud he is, and it's long overdue.

John Kerry could have came back from Vietnam and protested the War without associating himself with the people he did and trashing his Comrades and his country the way he did.

We all make choices in life and all of them come with circumstances, John Kerry has advanced himself at the expense of others and now he is gonna learn what those circumstances are. An old saying comes to mind.... "You Reap What You Sow" and now it's time for John Kerry to pay the Piper

so 3 damm purple hearts - all of them small enough for a regualr size Band-Aid; and never a day or night spent in a hospital.

I'd bet anyone here that at least 1 of these medals was from cutting himself opening a can of C-Rations, or misuse from using a toenail clipper!!

If Kerry falsified his reports, that is a criminal offense. I do not know if there is a year criteria or whatever the lawyers call it, but the Navy could reopen his file and correct the record!

Let the proceedings begin!

Oh, I'm there. I'm SO there, I'm thinkin' - which would be considered as evidence in a court of law - Effin' Moore's massively edited film - or eyewitness accounts from 'Unfit for Command'? The answer makes my weekend...

I think Kerry not only exaggerated his "heroism" and lied to get medals, his opinion of self and his abilities is equally exaggerated.

John Kerry is not a leader and he certainly has no major accomplishments in his background. All he has managed to do is get elected to public office in Mass. Big deal!

John Kerry is not a solution to any problem; his problems get in the way of solutions!

I am still -- wanting somebody to get the results of the count of how many individuals have garnered five medals in the space of four months of active duty. If we can't get the tally any other way, listen freepers, lets coordinate an effort and make a date and email the stations enmasse to tell them we want to know this. Swamp them with our emails!

Unfortunately it does not matter---the MSM is not interested, so the American public will never know the truth.

Any statute of limitations in military matters?

Can you say "Hello Hillary"?

I don't think so. Hitlery's plans are for 2008. It would take time for the 'rats to recover if or when Hanoi John publicly messes his pants. sKerry's implosion at this time would cause a great aura of doubt concerning the 'rat party that they could back a mad man.

I think that this worthless witch and her pandering husband have absolutely no interest in contesting this election at this time. They have ceded it to Bush, and it is in their best interests that sKerry lose.

Hitlery will be the hero in '08 to give leadership like the rising Phoenix to rescue the disillusioned that pinned their hopes to a moron. You can't have one without the other. If you get the shrew, you get the screw.

They are political partners, self-serving and arrogant. They could care less about the U.S., or the 'rat party. It is whatever benefits them. They will forego this twisted mess to lay a foundation to reclaim power.

Just my opinion.

blessings, bobo

If he does lose it, it will happen in one of the debates, and it will be ugly.

I wish I knew what Kerry is hiding in his medical and military records. Roger Hedgecock on Rush yesterday played a sound clip of Kerry saying snippily, "That's not your business. It's my business!" Over and over. God, Kerry is such a stinking loser. Most of the voters are too smart to put him in office. He has nothing to recommend him. He's the last man on earth you'd want in the oval office.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Kerry's now saying he's going to give a speech before a veterans' group during the republican convention. Let's hope the vets walk out. That would really put the cat among the pigeons.

But...Hillary won't fare well in the primaries. Running around, giving stump speeches, answering direct questions isn't her best game face. Presumably someone else in the party will challenge her for the nomination...Al Sharpton? Edwards? Howie Dean? I can't think that they'd just give her the nod right off the bat. So, really, she might be better off replacing Kerry on this ticket. Sure, she's starting late, but republican voters have concentrated on how awful Kerry is. The party would have to think up some new ads, etc.. Hill would ride in on her white horse, and if Kerry engineered his exit well, the MSM would annoint her Queen of the Universe immediately.
