So true! To me, friendship trumps partisan politics every time, but I sometimes feel that is a minority opinion.

Shhhh. Whisper. The last thing Israel wants the Arab world to think is that Israel is weak and thus continues to exist only because of the benificence of the USA. Such an outlook--very much promoted by the Clinton Admin--is a recipe to encourage Arab attacks against Israel. I agree with the author, but we should not bruit it.
