POCONO SUMMIT, Pa. -- It was here in the parking lot of Cramer's Home Center, less than seven miles from a NASCAR track, in a pivotal battleground state, on the back of a battered work van, that we saw the first one.
"Somewhere in Texas," the bumper sticker said, "A Village Is Missing Its Idiot." The next showed up at the Home Depot on the back of an equally battered pickup driven by a tough-looking kid dressed for construction work. It said: "Bush," and then, "Like a Rock Only Dumber."

Why has no-one been responding to this post? I thought the whole article was pretty flame-worthy...
Hey, I didn't know Howell Raines had found work. Stringing for the Washington Post, eh? Covering the Pocono beat. Keep up the good work, Howell, and maybe they'll start letting you cover the county courthouse.
another excerpt:
"More recently, the White House has displayed a devious brilliance in making the Atwateresque Swift boat commercials the focus of campaign news."
Where I work, we have a group of contractos who are tio a man voting dem, So far today 3 out of 11 have locked the user accounts out, one has damaged a piece of equipment, one has failed to change a printer cartridge on a printer he has had for over two years and has done this task repeatedly. This is a typical day. One of the senior one told me once that they loved this job, it was so much better then their last one, shift leader ar Burger King. Trust me I have often wondered about why we let some people vote and drive. Heck some of these I question the wisdom on letting them breed.
BUllSHit.
contractos = contractors
tio = two
Coffee maker broke this morning, I am only at 60% power.
Probably because it's been posted before.
already posted yesterday
Nothing Raines has ever written has had any value.
The "Howlin Rains" still raining on everyones party huh? Bring back Walt Duranty!
I searched "factor" and "dumb."
Got link?
I did not know the NY-DC shuttle made a stop in the Pocanos.
Probably the first time O'l Raines has ever been in the country in his life. Well unless he did his investigative reporting work through a Jayson Blair-like astral projection (like his great hire at the NY Times).

I am only at 60% power.
It sounds like when you have everybody present you are only at 60% manpower.
I have to respectfully disagree.
People with average IQs often have far more common sense that people who test better on intelligence examinations.
People with high IQs are often very good at deceiving themselves into believing the most preposterous things.
I still say that life experience and real world responsibilities are the best way to assess a voter's worthiness.
I feel much more confident sending a 25 year old high school grad who works two jobs, pays a mortgage and supports a wife and kid into a voting booth than I feel about a 30 year old Ivy League doctoral student who lives alone in an apartment his parents rent for him so he can study gender theory.
My own belief is that the vote should be restricted to people who actually contribute something to our country.
In practical terms limit voting to the military and taxpayers. Spend 20 years in either category and you have the permanent right to vote.
To determine a taxpayer, add up all taxes paid, subtract all benefits received from any government: stale, local, federal, or foreign.
When Jesse Jacka$$ and his ilk scream about "disenfranchisement" I have three words for them: "get a job".
They hire cheap contractors to run the equipment then deal with crap productivity and equipment abuse. They go cheap and it shows.
