CHARLESTON, W.Va. A second Lincoln County resident has been indicted in the widening federal probe of election fraud in southern West Virginia.

The grand jury alleges 35-year-old Jackie Adkins of Harts bribed four unidentified voters to influence the ballots they cast in May's primary election.

The Division of Highways employee is the fifth person to be charged overall in a probe that has ensnared Logan County's sheriff, the city of Logan's police chief and a prominent Logan lawyer.

A Lincoln County resident was indicted earlier in the probe. She was charged with falsely denying under oath that she and her father were bribed for their votes.

Tip of the iceberg. I wonder if we'll be watching more closely this time around. I am hoping that Dubya has one up his sleeve for this, as anyone here knows the real story of FL 2000, (and NM, PA, and many more). A few last minute indictments in each state might shake things up a bit. Please post any articles you find on election fraud, they need to know we're watching. For all the good that may do.

I have seriously considered dressing as a homeless person a block or two from a polling place, and secreting a camera in the alley to document any attempt to buy a vote.

Cameras inside your parked car near polling places would HAVE to be very inconspicous to avoid charges of intimidation (even so, they can charge all they want - it's time for action). Anyone entering multiple times could be documented by the camera outside, and a couple of (certified election monotors friends monitoring inside witnessing their actually recieving multiple ballots and voting with them. This would provide evidence of multiple voters.

Let's put our heads together and do the work our officals won't do. Read post number 89 below and consider if you intend to be a monitor. These pukes are slick, don't get caught with your pants down.

I've been watching this for two months folks, and I can tell you this isn't the end. There are probably two state legislators that are quaking in their boots right now, and one of them lives just down the road from me.

The sheriff of Logan county was elected in 2000 even though he was previously convicted of misdemeanor votor fraud too. He went down to the federal courthouse for a come to Jesus meeting a month or so ago and everyone in Logan county actually seemed SHOCKED about it.

The Logan Banner newspaper quoted someone who said, "there won't be enough people left when this is done to conduct a funeral."

Good, and this needs to break soon, so they can ALL get a little dose of the "shakes". Probably won't affect many, though. They seem to have so little conscience, much bravado. I can't believe we don't have a plan in the works to combat it, or at least expose it before 2008 and the Hildebeast.

You have to remember, Logan County is one of the counties that put John Kennedy over the top. There is even a book about how JFK came into Logan and promised everything to the political bigwigs to make it happen. The money that changed hands back then was substantial.

And a few of those bigwigs are still in Logan, still making things happen.

Be sure to get certified as election observers in time! Also, consider the legal implications fo all activities. That's why I didn't say to tape inside the polls. I doubt that's kosher - but a couple of friendlies certified as observers who are willing to testify to what they see should do the trick.

If you intend on some covert activities in regards to fraud, please post your city here (but not, of course, the precinct). that way the RATS can re-think their plans for your town, and if not, they get free room and board for a few years.

This figures. I lived there(northern WV) for about a year-and-half and was utterly amazed at how full of dems the place was. Especially considering how they claimed to have the highest number of vets per capita or something to that effect. I was stunned when the state went for GWB in 2000 but don't expect it to happen again unless more of the above happens.

Thank goodness we've had that intellectual and ethical giant Joe Manchin in the Secretary of State's office, overseeing elections in West Virginia. Of course, he's been preoccupied a bit since taking office, what with having to run for governor non-stop since he was elected SOS.

Interesting ... you need the camera/recorder to go with this though, right? So, where do you hide that on your person?

So, you going to hang around the polling boths recording?

"- Federal prosecutors are targeting the Democrat-dominant 19th Delegate District, which encompasses Logan County as well as parts of Boone, Lincoln and Putnam counties. -"

You can always tell if it's a story about Dem fraud. The party affiliation is buried.

That's how we can tell this article was written by a real professional journalist!

Kerry can barely show his face in WV because of his hostility to coal. W ought to be winning this state. This is the opposite of Nevada where it has been almost impossible for W to show up because of the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste site (which Kerry voted in favor of for years until he wanted 'national viability' and decided to keep all of the Mass. nuke waste there at home). I'd take those 4 electoral votes from WV and grin like a fool even though its their home turf and we are outnumbered 3-1 there.

In a swap I made last year of all things I got a buttonhole camera and remote recording system. The system runs on 12 volts so I can leave it in the car. I'm testing the range right now, trying to figure out how far it will record.

Folks

I am hearing word through several sources that Frenchie or the Breck Girl will in fact be making an appearance at a Labor Day rally in Racine, West Virginia.

I'm sure it varies from state to state. I guess the best thing to do is contact your county board of elections and ask them.

I noticed that. That's how you tell if it's a Dem in a story - if it wasn't, it would say so.
