While browsing fundrace.org, the site that tells you what your neighbors (friends, celebrities, enemies) contribute to political campaigns, I saw this. (I'm assuming there is only one Jamie Farr, self employed, actor.)

they're the group that aired the infamous Willie Horton ads.

Farr is also, by the way, Lebanese. I have both Christian and Muslim Lebanese friends, they all have a high regard for him. I neither know nor care what his religion or Mideast conflict leanings are. Glad to have him on board.

Yup, Jamie Farr is a conservative Republican; he even appeared in the audience for Limbaugh's TV show. He's also a real-life Korean war vet (the only MASH cast member to do so), a long-time spokesman for the Arab-American community (he comes from an Orthodox Christian family of Syrian and Lebanese descent), and has contributed most of his spare time to charity and philanthropic work (golf and otherwise). I wonder if Mike Farrell and Alan Alda still talk to him.

TRIVIA NOTE: Farr made his film debut in The Blackboard Jungle, under his real name of Jamal Farrah, alongside Sydney Poitier, Vic Morrow, and future director Paul Mazursky. He played Santini, the Italian student whom everyone mocked for not knowing English.
