At this point I can't think of anything the dims can do that isn't going to hurt their cause. Other than shutting up and going home, that is - and that goes for Kerry, too.

It's a bit misleading to say that the subways run directly under the site. They run directly under 7th and 8th Avenues, not Madison Square Garden itself.

Part of Penn Station is directly under MSG, but that's not a subway. I think the New Jersey Transit tracks are closer to MSG than the LIRR. And New Jersey Transit's service will be curtailed this week. A lot of trains are being diverted to Hoboken instead of Penn Station.

They should have had it in the south somewhere, with lots of down-to-earth folks, preferably with a large military population and a Nascar race nearby. That would have kept the freaks away.

I still don't like this whole thing. Having this in New York is insane. Anywhere, and I mean anywhere, but New York City would be fine.

The Democrats spend so much time blocking buses, having spies on the convention floor, taking over web sites, organizing a "shout out" (or whatever Frankan is calling for." They can't debate the issues. It is always these stunts that they think are so clever. Who has the time and money to be involved in all this nonsense?

I say, lock 'em up.

You forgot, "and throw away the key".

What vile creatures.

I really think we should hope that it does turn into a circus. Disruption of the RNC by the protesters will do more to draw the lines between the Republicans and the Democrats (with 'former' protest leader John Kerry at the helm) than almost anything else I can think of.

The media will, in their zeal, carry the protests non-stop. As long as the police don't overreact and turn this into another Chicago '68, it will be very clear who the protesters are. When people make the connection between Kerry, VVAW and the Dems and the current protest crowd it could sink the Kerry candidacy faster than a torpedo broadside his Swift Boat.

Remember, the people inside the Boston Garden this year were the people who were outside the convention center in Chicago in 1968. And this time the whole world really will be watching.

They should have had the convention in Fairbanks Alaska.

Thoughts?

At least with all the lefties, clogging NY in protest, any terrorist act is likely to be self defeating.

"It is important that the police call in all possible resources to investigate the situation," the site says. " ... This will result in the maximum disruption. With any luck, Madison Square Garden will be evacuated."

I can't believe I'm reading some of this -- this is stuff that goes on in third world, third rate non-elections. Welcome to the Amerika of the tolerant left.

"Go to a rifle, pistol or skeet shooting range, spend an hour shooting........ "

It'd be funny if this resulted in some conversions. : )

If protestors "storm the buses" they should be shot dead.

Exactly. Let em do it. The sillier the protest, the louder they yell to America "four more years".

These clowns never learn (see "Nixon, Richard US President").
