But once they step out and publicly start promoting their dad they're fair game.

If they were unrelated, I'd agree, but you kind of have to campaign for your dad. Even if you thought his politics stink, he's still your father. I donated money to my Democrat candidate sister-in-law because she's family, and I'd rather have burned it than use it to help send another Democrat to Sacramento. (Luckily for my sanity, she lost, got fed up with the party, and has since become a Republican.)

Choose or Lose - MTV's Dilemma .....The truth of MTV’s dilemma is that as a greater number of America's youths declare themselves as conservative, Republican, or even as independents who get their news from Fox News (truly the most balanced source on TV) MTV will have their own choice to make – choose to discontinue their "“Choose or Lose"” campaign or lose the hope of ever achieving their liberal agenda.

"I've been hearing the argument that the easing of abortion restrictions in the '70s has caused the supply of young liberals to suffer, since it's that side of the political aisle who gets the majority of abortions."

I've worked with a lot of young folks, and almost unanimously, those with divoced mothers said that they don't like the way their Baby Boomer mothers (or their mothers' boyfriends) lived. They don't want to repeat the wrongs of their parents. And yes, as the new young adult generation is (against) regarding most Baby Boomer pet issues (adultery, drugs, etc.), it's possible that most of them are against abortion.

Almost brings a tear to my eye...brings back memories of Hillary and the 9/11 benefit concert. Ahh, yes...Hillary in ol' crusty and the room filling boos of the NY firefighters.

You obviously haven't seen the reprocessed video of that concert have you? MTV replaced the booing with applause and played that video as if that's how the event actually went. While Hillary isn't the actor that her husband is, her movements don't indicate she was actually being booed. I thought that was one of the most chilling videos I have ever seen. It was pure lying propaganda straight out of 1984.

I think the booing started when the blonde Kerry tried to give the brunette Kerry a Purple Heart after she stumbled coming onto the stage.

Rupert Murdoch, being the canny devil he is, is probably already gearing up to offer the Fox Music Channel.

Of course they were booed. It's the MTV awards not a political campaign rally...they deserved to be booed.

As if there were any programs on MTV that weren't political.

Unlike the Hollywood elite, regular people don't like shallow political shills showing up at what are supposed to be just for fun events...I don't, no matter who they are.

No way! That would make for a good thread in and of itself. Tell us more! How'd that happen?

I don't think that would have helped. We know she had no support in that outfit either.

I'll bet Sumner Redstone has to be busy cleaning up that nasty mess in his pants about now.

If 9-11 would've happened when I was 22, I think I would've at least taken enough notice to figure out who was gonna kick these terrorists @sses and who was not. I hope that's what's happening.
