President George W. Bush doesn't need fairweather friends
to protect and defend the United States of America.

Bush is teaching them to dislike war. It seems like a lesson they need to learn the hard way.

Sounds like all the old Euros have done is dusted off all of their old Reagan jokes and replaced him with Bush. History will prove them wrong again, just as they were wrong about President Reagan.

"It's almost like America is courting us," one senior German government official said recently of US efforts to improve ties. "We will be able to work with this government just fine, if it stays in office."

Yes, pulling our troops and dollars out of Germany is sucking up in a big way.

Indeed, among US Presidents, only Richard Nixon – of Watergate notoriety -- comes close to rivaling Bush for the unpopularity stakes in Europe.

Funny how they conveniently omit the hatred they had for Reagan.

Reagan was right and so is Bush.

They've become so muddled they can only mouth anti-this and anti-that.

Pathetic.

I expect this kind of crap out of most of Europe; they been jealous for several centuries as we became what they can never be.

What's disgusting to me are our neighbors up north. Canada had the same opportunities that we did, but instead elected to become a vague shadow of the declining Europe that it aligned itself with.

I can think of no better feed back than socialists inclined nations of Europe to dislike Bush and to like Kerry.

"We Europeans are extremely negative about him," said Anders Mellbourn, director of the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.

"Widespread outrage at the Guantanamo Bay prison for terrorist suspects, perceptions of a pro-Israeli posture by Washington and the failure to support the Kyoto environmental treaty have fuelled anti-Bush feeling."

I can see why someone might believe this stuff (even they Kyoto thing) with the exception of Pro-Israeli thing. If you had to pick a side in the argument, its pretty clear that the Israelis are MORE on the side of right than the Palestinians led by Arafat.

Judging from our LIBERAL media, I wonder how much of this is media fantasy.

Canada = Toronto and Montreal.

They run the whole country so don't blame them all, like Alberta (most right wing province).
