I would guess this treaty would clear the way for the unelected Marxist UN bureaucrats to also control the various waterways running into the seas.

Anything on that?

The proponents of this eminently sensible accord include the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Department of Defense, the State Department, the Commerce Department, the President Bush-appointed U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy, every major ocean industry, the National Foreign Trade Council and a slew of environmental groups.

Thanks for nothing, again, Republicans.

We have a designation called the Monterey Basy Sanctuary here on the central coast of CA. It start out with a sphere of influence in 3 counties, it now has a sphere of influence in 6 counties (through the watershed). These areas are ever-expanding, once you allow one to exist.

Because the rivers are controlled through watershed (no dams or reservoirs may be built), the Einsteins around here want to build desalination plants. There are two problems with this, 1 the sanctuary will never allow it because something has to be done with the salt extracted from the water, and 2 if the UN gains control through LOST, then the plant will be controlled by them, its capacity and price of water.

How much of our Country must be lost before Americans will start to resist? Will we resist, or will we fall?

They already do contol them through the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers. Decisions are done by Committee.......just like in the old Soviet Union.

We must have property rights. Divide up the oceans--or ocean for those who believe in the one world ocean--and be done with it. Oceans need owners, custodians, curators and they are now ownerless and falling into disrepair and being used by petty criminals like an abandoned warehouse in a slum district.

The United Nations authority could impose taxes on oil and natural gas extractions. The power of taxation is the keystone of sovereignty. And so is the power of taxation the cornerstone of corporatism.

The United Nothing is not a sovereign entity. It's a bogus organization propped up primarily on the backs of the American taxpayer.

NO on UN sovereignty!!!

NO on LOST!!!

LOST would supercede our Constitution!!!

LOST turns control of American maritime business over to foreign governments within the UN!!!
